  1. good work and I'm glad you got it sorted eventually.
  2. good work, all the best. As for the polarity, it will all depend on where the switch is (so to speak) to find out if it will drive the right way. Don't think you want it to drive the wrong way. you should be able to work out that fairly easily without connecting it first.
  3. Metho in tank... check timing, new plugs - if fuel related If G/Box related, change oil and see what you have in the old stuff.
  4. I agree, used to really enjoy getting to those sort of shops and making a project, even if I didn't have one. Always came out more intelligent, however these days... sad but true Customer Service is not what it used to be. I blame people that don't care and just want the cheapest and nastiest product which seems to go hand in hand.
  5. Yeh Dick Smiths, what an excellent shop! Always been quite expensive and now they have really lost the plot. There's a lack of real Customer Service with Kids that have no real knowledge too, although Jaycar can be a bit like that and sometimes they can not help in an understandable language either.
  6. Cool, good work... Wasn't sure that you had gone that far with motor and yes they do look like something common. Although, when I started to look for a motor for the R33 Mirror, I couldn't find anything similar. I am fairly sure I tried Jaycar too. Good Luck
  7. That last picture of the small electric motor, is that the bit seized? It looks very similar to the R33 Fold in Mirror Motor, with a different gear wheel and I had one of those seized that was 'prised' apart, cleaned up with scotchbrite and crc and re-assembled. Still works a treat... but wouldn't not turn at all initially. Check you have voltage to the terminals first.
  8. Just wondering if there was an actual problem with the Airbag in the first place... If it comes back on I suggest you need to use the Consult to faulf find the problem. Wouldn't want an Airbag to not work.
  9. Can you post a picture and tell me a price? Might need you to tell me the hub size and hole to hole too. Perhaps you can PM the details and a Price.
  10. Actually, from memory, (it was 9 years ago) I didn't cut the rear plate holder, I removed it completly and mounted my strip to the original holes in the Bumper. Might be wrong tho and sorry, I don't have any pictures, however I can take some this weekend if anyone is interested. The filling of the original holes and installing blind bolts is a great idea, but one you will (probably) need a spray painter for.
  11. and a vent for cold air by the looks of it...
  12. What size piping and type of muffler?
  13. Get a flat plate (strip) of alloy or steel, just as wide as the licence plate and drill 2 holes (centred) so they pick up on the original licence plated pick-ups on the bumper. Then drill the holes through the same strip of material, so that they pick up on the Licence Plate holes, you can lift the plate a little or a lot, to get it vertically central on the bumper too. Add a spacer between the licence plate and the material, this will allow you clearance between the strip and it's original bolt heads that attach it to the car (may need a bolt a bit longer - same as spacer height). Add a spacer between the car and the material, this will allow you to slip some auto 'clip nuts' over the material that you can use to attach the licence plate to this material. I have done this on my R33 on both ends of it. A perfectly central front, which sits only about 10mm off the front of the bumper, you can not tell. And a full standard licence plate that sits (with clearance) in the rear slot. Yes, I also cut those ugly Jap style extensions on the rear mount. It works well and I am sure that all of you could do it...
  14. Should be pretty easy if you know the right end of a ratchet! Let me know...Likewise...? I haven't started to look as such yet. This week I hope!
  15. Thanks. What is the advantage and do they make one that picks up on the same bolt holes on the Clutch Hub?
  16. Looks good, what was that worth if you don't mind?
  17. Hey all, Just noticed that my Standard Fan is starting to crack and I really do not want to lose it... 1995 R33 Series 2 RB25DET Standard Radiator Shroud, Radiator and clutch fan. Doing a 'Search' here came up with the suggestion that An Rb20 one will fit but it has less blades and will not pull as much air. Also, it was mentioned that a VL Rb30 one will fit. Additionally it appears that Repco may have a universal one that will fit. I measured an old Pintara (don't laugh) fan and that is a bit small and it appears that I need something with an external hub diameter of 7 and a half inches. Can anyone confirm what I may be able to fit as I really don't need to change clutch assembly?
  18. well done, wish I could have raised the capital... you must be very happy.
  19. So from that, I can presume that you get a copy of the shiny round thing every so often...
  20. Good news! As a long time subscriber to both, I look forward to some pics and the new title name. Oops that reminds me I need to re-subscribe to HPI! My thoughts are I wish I was there, maybe next time with my own...
  21. what version of Fast do you have Chris. Do you get the updated discs?
  22. Yep, nice car and just what I would like... I wonder if I can afford the hood ornament too! On sale in Unique Cars as well as carsales, I think.
  23. Thank you for that...
  24. Thanks for that, I read that.. What I was asking, was things like who makes it, where do you get it, is it expensive. Is it a spray...
