  1. I think you will find that is already a tuned type device... I am fairly sure it is like we would buy a Unichip in Australia. Set up in Japan, it would probably be considered a 'tuned' ECU, although I don't think it offers any further adjustment. It is a set and forget non geniune ECU, that is not able to be tuned. Could be wrong about this and hopefully someone will give us all their 2 bobs worth! Sit tight I am sure someone can help, I think there are others that have had one of these.
  2. Good work on th pics, so if you are going to kiss the gutter, gotta remember to slide the rear in 1st. That is what I would conside is a rim protector, as such and you would note that the tyre seems to angle away more.
  3. Thanks Adam, Yes I saw a similar thing on a few Manual Rally or concept cars back in the 90's, but back then it was crudely set up. It can be done and it does make sense really, although I doubt it would work as quick as the standard V35 Auto, although I would love to see how it works, so yes keep me in the loop. I have already entered my details into your newletter a few days back and some of your stuff is fantastic, that Shift light is an absolute given on my next ride. As for the paddles, if it works really well and it suits the V35 Manual in my plan, well perhaps...
  4. Rianto, that should mean you may have a bit more Sidewall protection, however, if the tyre doesn't extend past the lip of the rim, it might not help much.
  5. Nice product, now to see if I could get for a manual... Joke!
  6. Remember no matter what you might think, being rude to someone doesn't help the situation. If you think my comments are wrong and I have earned it, ask me about it in a PM, because I think you will have me wrong. As for Chris, I presume he is a busy man, like all of us and perhaps he would prefer to work over the phone at the very least... I know of a very different side to him and he has never got money out of me... so far. Have you tried to call him... his number is on all of his posts? agree to disagree
  7. Yes, not good and imagine what you could do if you caught them... was there any camera's around?
  8. Just for the record, there was absolutely NO intention to be a SMART ARSE and I take exception to that. As for trying to make you look stupid, again that wasn't my intention, so my apologies. However, if that is what you think please yourself. As for Chris, I think if you think he is out just to make money, then I think you have that wrong.
  9. Thanks Pulp and no I wasn't...
  10. What the hell was that for? There is no need to be rude and call me names... Perhaps some things are easier to check if you know how and obviously you don't, so please pull your head in and don't call me names. Also, maybe he wasn't planning to charge you, I know if it was me and it only took a bit of his time, he would bend over backwards to help. As for the oxidisation discovery, isn't that pretty easy to explain on here and perhaps fault finding a 2002 Factory immobiliser is a bit harder to do whilst online. Also, I know what this forum is for and it isn't for openly having a go. If you are upset then please keep it to yourself, or complain to a moderator. As for opportunitists making money, it is your car, your money and your choice.
  11. I would say he needs to check the car for you...
  12. Pictures will help, what are we looking at?
  13. Not all tyres have rim guard although some are marketed that way. Unfortunately the amount of protrusion also depends on the wheel too. You almost need to measure or at least compare the depth (width) of rubber that sits off the wheel bead. It isn't always easy to see especially with the fact that a lot of tyres are stretched over the wheel and the sidewall isn't necessarily vertical off the rim. I guess it is also something you should ask as normally the guys will have some knowledge from previous fitments.
  14. I can't imagine any rim that will not mark if they touch a gutter... Just try to make sure you fit tyres with a gutter guard in their design. Anyway, they look real nice and you should be really happy. Are they the same offset?
  15. Sweep your garage too Rianto!
  16. I quite like... As for the size, 19's a big enough... Come and have a swim in one of the Geelong Potholes, they love rims!! Tyres a bit cheaper too.
  17. To my knowledge the odometer has nothing to do with the speed restrictor, it is the speed sensor on the g/box that is being read by the ECU. The dash only reads the voltage of the sensor to display it in language that we understand. Once the voltage reaches a certain value the ECU, shuts down ignition...
  18. Good luck all and have a ball...
  19. I am pretty sure this can be done by Chris. Not sure of the location of the units exactly but I am pretty sure he has done it... Can anyone correct me if I am wrong! Best you PM Chris, he will either say Yes or No!
  20. by all, I mean everything without an R, coz I am not too interested in something repaired.
  21. Thanks for that, they all look ok. Going to start looking in earnest next year, will be ready to jump if the Yen recovers a bit.
  22. Thanks for that... I like it, certainly better than a lot of other examples of cars that have a model with a fixed roof or a drop top. So many marquees get it wrong, so wrong, this in comparision is pretty damn good. With windows up it might be a bit better too
  23. Do you have better pictures, because the window line (roof up) looks ok from the one picture above? A little hard to tell though and it does look 'substantial' in size, so a different view angle may make it look different to what I can see at the moment.
  24. That's good, I was mearly mentioning that Autosol is an abrasive type of product. Would hate to see someone forget that...
