  1. I suggest you are careful with how hard you push... but nice suggestion though, should work fairly well.
  2. mmm nice, not sure I want Nissan Oz to bring them out here. No chance I could afford if that happened and they would do something to make it less attractive to the buyer.
  3. Chris, you should have a BT earpiece on at all times, then we can disturb you anytime...
  4. Avgas is race engine (aircraft fuel in most cases) and comes at various specific octanes, sometimes at 110 octane (or it used to be available like that). It smells sweet when being used and will boost most standard octane ratings, I have run it in carby jap motorcycle engines at about 30% ratio, but it was never very cheap. Is also a bit hit and miss, but never caused any problems to me. I am sure that you could still get it to raise the octane level of the crap Aussie fuel, however I would doubt there is really a need in a light tune V35. You also need to be very careful that you get it right, so do a lot of research and tune on a Dyno.
  5. cool, what do they do anyway...
  6. Please do a search, you will find lots on this... many people have done both. It isn't that hard, but you will need to buy a bit of stuff and if you want to do it yourself, you will need to be pretty confident with In Car Entertainment.
  7. A shotgun... Isn't that a bit extreme, not to mention a bit dangerous and maybe slightly illegal. Unless it is in warranty, I doubt that most of us could take a stance at all. Anyway, the fix doesn't sound too hard...
  8. Dry joint, you need to re-heat the solder up and make sure it has continuity all the way through the joint. If you are a bit unsure any good electrical component repair shop could do it fairly easily... or Chris I would think.
  9. Good work, blitz boy. I did a very similar thing to a seized motor on a R33 Side Mirror that wouldn't fold in... It was never going to turn and was locked solid... still works now about 6 years later. Where did you get a copy of the Service Bulletin and can they all be downloaded?
  10. Cool look... Why use indicators, no other bastard does!!?
  11. Looks good... Wish I had a V35 and wish I wasn't a Mexican. Well the former anyway!!
  12. So a cover of the top of existing! Or do you unglue/stitch the original and put this new cover on?
  13. So what exactly is C-Red offering? Is it a just a Leather kit for the standard V35 seats?
  14. Good work, congratulations and enjoy the sizzle...
  15. What did you buy and where are the pics, have you posted somewhere?
  16. Side Airbags, or any Airbag, should never be re-trimmed, save for a light coat of paint should be ok...
  17. Cheers Chris! So to completely clarify, the simplistic approach Is there an Aussie Key (Presume Nissan) that can be made to do all of the Standard Jap key functions, including open doors, engine start, open boot etc? What brand and model of Alarm can replace the Standard 'remote' functions listed above, along with the usual Alarm/Immobiliser functions? Do I have to have 2 black boxes on my Keyring (1 built in to the Key and 1 for the Alarm Remote of your choice)? Can I just have a basic key (Aussie Nissan with inbuilt transponder) and an alarm remote with boot release (depending on actuator installed on car)? The reason I ask is, as a 'simple' man the only items on my Vehicles Key ring are a black box (alarm disable & central locking), Ignition Key (copied) to start car and a Siren silence key for hidden siren. Car will still not start tho. I can't cope with heaps of stuff dangling from ignition or filling the pocket.
  18. Yes, you are probably right, but this was much better than anything I had seen. The level of detail they use for the other cars that they feature makes me think that it would be really beneficial to see the TT process. Besides, I want the name of the workshop that is performing the work...
  19. So no one has any further infomation? It looked like they had been doing the mod for a while, but I haven't seen any other stuff in any other episodes that I have watched a bit of. So can anyone help?
  20. Last night at 1000 on Ch 31 (Vic only) there was a 3 minute clip of a Workshop (Vic again?) doing a TT conversion on a Vq35DE. Did anyone see it? Looks like it might be something ongoing, but I was looking for more details... can anyone help? The Website is here but links to a blog... www.gasolene.biz/ Latest Video is here, but it appears a bit out of date http://www.c31.org.au/shows/show.php?showid=272&t=video
  21. Cheers Chris, so the OE Key has the door lock buttons on it, or are they seperate? The OE Key is just a Key with a 'chip' in it that makes sures all the binary codes line up for the Starter to earth at the right time... Simplistic of course, just like me...
