G'day Guys, - 89 R32 GTR ******* In PERTH ******* - 200rwkw and standard 10psi (dyno sheet from Ken @ Hyperdrive) - came with boost restrictor in place and left in as long as I've had it - Gunmetal Grey - Nismo Adjustable Suspension - Nismo Strut Brace - Nismo full stainless dump pipe and 3inch exhaust - New Tyres - Aussie approved Alarm (with receipt) - Blitz timer & digital boost guage with peak hold - Mines computer (no 180kmh limit, reved to about 8300 and still haven't hit redline, perfect AF ration on Dyno) - Nismo 260kmh speedo (reading 43,000km, sold the original dash that read about 48,000) - standard mags - N1 extra headlights, front lip & rear lip (according to Ken) - K&N Panel Filter that can be reoiled (standard filter box so nice & quiet) - interior excellent, no rips, burns or stains - new MP3/CD tuner stereo - I will through in a brand new G-Tech Pro - new top arm bushes (adjustable) - new battery - starts and runs perfectly, very smooth (it has been my daily driver) - serviced every 5000 with Castrol Formula R Synthetic ($65/bottle) - excellent condition inside & out (except steering wheel peeling as they often do) - licenced till 9th month When I bought it about 11 months ago Ken at Hyperdrive did a full test on it including dyno run and leakdown test. He said it was one of the best leakdown results he had seen from a GTR and suspected that it was a rebuilt engine (Renik badge on engine also supported this). Compression cyl 1: 155 cyl 2: 160 cyl 3: 165 cyl 4: 165 cyl 5: 155 cyl 6: 155 Leakdown cyl 1: 3% cyl 2: 2% cyl 3: 4% cyl 4: 5% cyl 5: 3% cyl 6: 4% EDIT "Asking $25,950 ono" NOW ASKING $24,990 Selling because I want to do some 4WDing and can't afford both. This has never let me down at all and has been a great daily driver with perfect manners in traffic. I looked around for a while when I bought it and there stood out well above alot of crap that is out there. Requires no work Please don't offer any swaps unless it is a 3Lt Turbo Deisel Patrol or turbo deisel 80 series Cruiser. The whole reason that I am asking is that I can definitely get 245/55/16 Michelins. I just want to know if they are going to be legal.

I am a bit confused with your response. If standards are 8 inch why would max legal be 7 inch. Also, this does not answer my question anyway. I want to know what the widest tyres (225, 235, 245, 265 etc) I can LEGALLY put on the GTR's 8 inch rims. I want to put 245/55/16's on all 4 rims.

The standard tyres on an R32 GTR are 225's so i would assume you can go slightly larger. All I am wanting to know is whether 245/55/16's Michelins are going to be LEGAL. I know 55's will put my speedo out a bit and they will be used at all 4 wheels so ATTESSA won't care. I am asking because I can get them for next to nothing. All I am wanting to know is whether 245/55/16's Michelins are going to be LEGAL on an R32 GTR(standard 8 inch rims). I need to jump on this as soon as possible so someone in the know please respond.

I tested my R32 GTR for the first time with a G-Tech Pro yesterday for a few 0-100 runs. I am interested to know anyone elses experience with 0-100 times(and what power their car is producing). Has anyone got anywhere close to the 4.79 sec 0-100 they are supposed to do standard. Now I didn't launch with 5000 rpm or anything (my clutch is on it's way out) and got a best of 5.73 secs(Only tried 5 times) with 200rwkw. I am interested to know anyone elses GTR experience(GTS-T's feel free to respond also).

I removed the brass boost restrictor from my R32 GTR and boost raised from about 11psi to about 13psi according to my digital boost guage. At standard boost it was dynoed and had near perfect AF ratios(indicated by the performance shop) At standard boost the car runs very well and has no signs of detonation but when boosted as above I am getting detonation(hear pinging) under load. The car is standard as far as I know other than full turbo back 3 inch exhaust and a Mines tuned standard computer. Everone says that you can remove the restrictor with no issues(other than coming close to ceramic limit) but no-one has mentioned detonation. Could it be that the computer was tuned to a fine limit in Japan at standard boost and increasing it at all is causing detonation(also Japanese fuel has higher octane as I understand). Any ideas as I would like a bit more boost without adding a PowerFC?

Ok, so this tells me how to get boost level ABOVE that with the restrictor removed. Thanks for that but it hasn't answered my initial question. So referring to my original question, How do I get boost between that with the restrictor in and that with the restrictor out. I want it t be ADJUSTABLE(bleed valve) between standard boost and boost with no restrictor. There must be 1000 people who have done this, anybody???

when you say "and bleed a little" in what line is your bleed valve located. Do you mean a T peice in the line that normally has the restrictor in it with a bleed valve going to the atmosphere???

I am wanting to slightly boost my R32 GTR to about 12psi with a bleed valve. What is the correct way to do this. I know that you can remove the restrictor in the boost solenoid line to get something like 1bar but I don't want to go quite that high(close to ceramic turbo limit). Can I put a bleed valve in the same line as the restrictor to get my approx 12psi and is this the correct way to do it? I have done a search but found nothing on this issue other than to remove the restrictor totally. I want to get adjustment in between having the resitrictor and having no restrictor.

I can get JJ16x6.5 rims which look the same. I know they are a bit skinnier but I am ok with that if they fit OK. 1) Would I be correct in assuming these are off an R32 GTS-T?????? 2) will they fit an R32 GTR(clear caliper, not stick out etc)? 3) what is considered a reasonable price(ballpark) to pay for these? thanks in advance

Wen a ceramic exhaust wheel blows does it always go down the exhaust or is there some chance of it going back into the exhaust ports of the head. I am looking for those guys that have actually experienced/repaired them.

The standard rims on my R32 GTR are JJ 16x8 and I am chasing a spare set just to have play with at the track. I can get JJ16x6.5 rims which look the same. I know they are a bit skinnier but I am ok with that if they fit OK. 1) Would I be correct in assuming these are off an R32 GTS-T?????? 2) will they fit an R32 GTR(clear caliper, not stick out etc)? 3) what is considered a reasonable price(ballpark) to pay for these? thanks in advance

I have just bought a Jap import R32 GTR that looks like it has had an engine rebuild by Reinik in Japan. Has anyone had any experience getting info out of them or know where I would go to get info. I have tried the website but it is all in Japanese.

I am looking to boost my GTR and waant to know is it always the case that all debris from the exhaust wheel goes down the exhaust pipe or is there ANY chance of any bits entering the exhaust ports. I can probably live with the replacement cost of a turbo but don't want to stuff the head/valves etc. -
I have a Blitz Dual Turbo Timer that has a boost guage built in it (same as ebay item 2482374715). I want to know if I cantrust the accuracy of this boost guage as I am wanting to boost my GTR to the limit of the ceramic turbos. Has anyone with the same unit compared it to a reliable boost guage????

Sorry for all the questions but Repco in WA have a 25% off sale that ends tomorrow(good chance to save some money I figured). I am wanting to get my new R32 GTR to a known point lubrication/maintenance wise. 1) I have heard that you guys mention that Mobil 1 is a good oil to use. Is this the general concensus for STREET USE ONLY? 2) Does Mobil 1 only come as one weight/viscosity or are there different types? 3) I want to replace all of the oils. Are the only ones to worry about ENGINE, GEARBOX, DIFF, and TRANSFER CASE or is there someting else I don't know about. 4) Other than the engine what are the recommeded oils for GEARBOX, DIFF, and TRANSFER CASE. 5) Are the oils other than engine easy enough to change???????
