  2. Does anyone know where the antenna is on the R32 GTR, I assume it is hidden somewhere as I can't see it externally

  4. Just got insurance with Just cars for an R32 GTR insured for $25000. Full comprehensive is about $1100 which I thought was pretty good. I am 29 with clean driving history but the excesses are very high. I don't plan on having an accident that's my fault so I would rather smaller premium and larger excess.
  5. Bad news Ken! This was on your R32 I assume and only at 1bar. I vaguely remember you telling me at your shop only a couple of days ago how there is definitely no problems at 1 bar, just kidding! Incidently, you know how you had my GTR on the Dyno and it ran up to 8200(rev limit???) and slight boost increase to 10psi which lead you to believe it had computer work done. Well it would seem that you were right. I pulled the computer side kick panel off and it has a Mines tuned computer with their serial numbered gold guarantee sticker on it with tamper seals that haven't been broken. It would be very interesting to see exactly what has been done to the car. I would have thought it a bit strange to have it Mines programmed when as far as I know there is only a 3inch exhaust on it and only producing 263rwhp. By the way if any of you guys are in Perth, Ken did a pre-purchase inspection on my GTR and he is a great bloke to deal with and the inspection was very well priced too. He really knows his GTR stuff (except the safe boost level on std turbos )
  6. I am not wanting to go wild with my R32 GTR but do want to increase boost to a safe level. It has the standard ceramic wheeled turbos. I am hearing many varying opinions on safe boost level with some people saying up to 18psi. I am wanting to know at what boost any people have experienced failures. For example, if nobody has had a failure at 14psi then I am happy to boost to that level but if ANYONE has had a failure at that boost then I won't go there (just to be safe). Hopefully we can come up with a level that will allow me to sleep at night.
  7. I am new to GTR's(R32) and I have heard that removing the small restrictor (where the yellow band is) will increase the boost. It has been dynoed with 263rwhp and the speed shop tells me that the he expects that the computer has been reprogrammed because it is running a consistant 10psi boost and the rev limiter has been removed or raised (power run to 8200rpm and no cut). 1) There is no other boost control on the car that I am aware of so is it correct to assume it has been changed in the computer or could my 3 inch nismo exhaust, high flow cat and biggger dump pipes be causing the slight boost increase to 10psi? The car is otherwise standard. 2) If it is already running 10psi with the restrictor in what boost can I expect with it out. I have a boost guage on my Blitz turbo timer so hopefully that is accurate enough to read it if I do it.
  8. 1) I have just bought an R32 GTR. How do I tell if they are the standard turbos(while on car). I am looking for markings that would be on the turbos or if there is any other way to tell. 2) I assume that the only way to tell if they still have the standard ceramic wheels is to take the dump pipes off. Am I assuming correctly. I just want to confirm if they have been high flowed with steel wheels or not. thanks in advance guys

Hi Guys, I am new to the forum and have just bought an R32 GTR. 1) I know that rwkw is the important figure but I am interested to know what my power might be at the engine (just for a basic comparison to manufacturer specs). R32 GTR DD Dynoed at 200kw at wheels (as far as I know standard with just a 3 inch nismo exhaust and running 10psi boost). 2) any ideas on expected quarter mile times and 0-100kmh times with 200kw at wheels R32 GTR. thanks in advance
