Help With I.d Of Build Plate And Sticker
Strick. replied to Strick.'s topic in General Automotive Discussion
Does anyone know what part of the blue build plate would state that its a M Spec. I had the Vin fasted and it came up. Pitty about the sticker, i thought it might of been an engineering company or even compliance place. Not to worry the search will continue. Never know might even find some paperwork when i start ripping it apart! -
Gday guys, Ive brought myself a R32 with RB25 for drift/track use. I dont know the history of the car so trying to find out as much as i can. I know at some stage it has been engineered and registered with the RB25 as on the PPSR has the correct vin with the matching RB25 engine number. Im hoping it was done by a workshop and would like to talk to them. Anyway, plate and sticker as follows (i cant read whats on the sticker as it seems to have faded plus im not at home at the moment, i havent actually even seen the car yet!!) Thanks in advance everyone

Cant edit the title, but what about offsets? What do you run for drift and what do you run on the track? -
16 Or 17 Inch Wheels For Drift/track
Strick. replied to Strick.'s topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Thanks for your response mate, i was thinking 16s for the rear for when drifting with cheap tyres. then a decent set of 17s for track work and on the front when drifting. Sounds like this will work, cheers! -
Gday everyone, for all those guys that have been there done that im wondering what your thoughts are on having either 16 or 17 inch wheels for the track and drifting. Im guessing 16 inch would be cheaper however im looking a decent tyre selection too. I know it doesnt matter for rear tyres when drifting however have wondered if a miss match in rim size ie 16 inch cheapies on the rear to 17 inch decent tyres on the front will be a problem. I know it also depends on brakes but im pritty sure the car i just brought (R32 GTS-T with RB 25) has Z32 brakes so 16 inch shouldnt be a problem to clear them. Thoughts?

Gday everyone, Ive been taking my HSV to the same workshop for 6 years now because i have built up a great relationship and trust the guys that work on it. As im new to the Skyline scene and more so the Jap scene i have no idea at all where to take my R32 GTS-T with RB25 (will be a drift car) when it finally arrives. Pritty much straight away i need to get an aftermarket computer and have it tuned. As this is such a major thing i want to get it right the first time and both not have my engine destroyed and also have a great reliable tune. Where do you guys take your cars and whats your thoughts? Also those to avoid would be great. Yes i know i could search and i have, but im after opinions and and first hand advice. Cheers

Gday guys, Some of you might remember im on the hunt for a track car. Would love to hear you opinions on this one: http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Nissan-Skyline-1998/SSE-AD-2252408/?Cr=3&sdmvc=1 I know not all the parts are high end but i think will be a good place for me to start. Thanks in advance everyone

Gday guys, Im looking for a R32 Skyline that has been properly set up for drifting or track work. The more work done the better. If you have a R32 thats has alot of engine, suspension work done let me know however as it will be a dedicated track car it will be hard for me to put value on the interior and rego. Something with an RB25/30 would be perfect. Quickest way to get in contact with me is [email protected] Thanks in advance

yeah good point there mate, think ill keep an eye out on both markets. Never know might be lucky haha

Gday everyone, just joined up to learn all i can about Skylines. Spend alot of time with Holdens and HSVs and still have the HSV parked in the shed. Looking to use an R32 Skyline for drift/ motorkhana/ hill climbs/ track days etc etc so i can retire my heavy HSV to shows. Look forward to learning as much as i can, and hopfully find a suitable R32 to use!! Cheers

Gday guys, Ive read the threads about who to use for importing (thinking Iron Chef at this stage), however who has actually imported a track car? Wondering what the track car was like when you got it here, is it even worth doing or is finding one locally better. Not concerned how long it will take to get here. My price range is 10k landed, should this get me a decent R32 track car? Cheers?
