  2. I'm geting my exhaust done next week. I pikd up a exhaust housing gasket, $20 and have since taken to my exhaust guy. He is going to weld up a new plate and incorporate in a seperate wastegate dump. the dump off the back of the turbo will be a rapid increase to 3', the wastegate pipe will be 1"1/2. The exhaust guy has recently done something similar to another GTST, but the wastegate pipe entered the system down near the cat convertor. My question is - "is this TOO far back? I know the further back the better. But we are talkin about 1 - 1.5m here". "should I also thermal wrap any of the dump pipe???" btw full 3" zorst turbs bak with hi flo cat and rear muffy etc etc.. tks.....
  3. Iridiums are in mine. and they are fully sik mate!!!! gapped at .8 with 11psi...
  4. Another good place at the front is the two tow points on either side... They look like little hooks. It did the job fine and didn't damage a thing.. I haven't needed to jack the back up yet... Cheers
  5. Yep, I scored another wheel jack. I was always wandering what the noise was, lo and behold it was a jack.... In my passenger side door i found a nice biro and some sort of jap papers too. Oh yeh and a bibi gun pellet....
  6. SWEET
  7. Mr Datto, dank you vely march! I only had my clutch replaced not that long ago. I have alos noticed that if i don't have enuf revs the thing bounces. is this due to the heavier plate. it happens all the time when i'm going up my drive. don't want to rev it too much or it will lite up. soyanara.....
  8. mine is heavy on the joose too. 370km to a tank.
  9. Im goin for a 3' mild steel from turbs bak. Gettin next week actually. with a hi flo cat. Should be heaps better hey!
  10. I'm putting on a new 3" system from turbs back. Any one interested in the stocker. Cat conv included.. Offers????? PM me......
  11. Mine creaks too! Isn't that funny, I 've got an aftermarket clutch... 2500pounds ceramic multibutton. awesome clutch. it creaks tho' when the pedal is depressed. I have also noticed tyhat when my car is on idle i can hear this squeaky noise. I place my foot on the pedal just a bit, say depress it about 20mm and the squeakin stops. hmmm... Any Ideas????
  12. I took an auto for a drive when i was looking around. wasn't very happy at all. It didn't pull all that hard. it was in good condition overall tho'. With manuals you can stretch the gears out more too. But yeah autos are way cool for drags spesh for consistent times.
  13. EBC is the way to go. I got one of those GReddy profec B spec. Highly rate it hey. Lo boost set ot 7psi and hi boost to 11psi. runs fine. good acceleration no spiking etc.... even with no boost on it comes on kwcker too. cost = $600 ish and then fitting + $250.00 ciao...
  14. yep, i had that problem the other day. it was bit hot for a couple of days here in perth so i was giving my A/C a hammering. (usually a non-a/c person) anyways i started it up in the morning, after leaving over nite, obviuosly durrr... when the car jumped to life there was this weird noise. i had a listen for a bit, and it seemd to go a way as the car warmed up. Could have been acat... hehehehe
  15. Me got a heavy plate clutch in mine. 2500pound ceramic multi button type. Car when started in the morning is fine, go for a drive to work, aprox 1/2 hr away. pull into work and i can hear the creeking noise. is annoying hey! How can we get these things greased. Oh BTW I've hadf my clutch for about two months.
  16. hey Shuto Boy, i have recently purchased a whiteline handling kit. Bloody unreal!! My car doesn't only look 100% better than stock it has also increased corner speed y about 15-20km/hr. my car has a bit of a harder ride but i think that is good. feels sporty. with car being lowered a bit (35mm front and rear) the camber has obviuosly been changed. Shouldn't really bother the rubber that much providing you drive spiritidly. the car launches a lot harder to.
  17. and then post photos when you get bak... Goes witjhout sayin really.. *shrugs*
  18. they're good pics SWEET!!!
  19. HAWKE, THat was a good point about the alarm, well an approved alarm in any case. I insured mine r33 with RAC, i'm 26 and they originally quoted me $950.00, i went and got an alarm installed and rac reduced it to $810.00 a yr. I was stoked. GIO didn't want to know me... Rhys...
  20. i'm not a 100% but when i was a tschool the teachers always used to relate to aborigines or even those little tribes ppl of the Gods must be Crazy. ie; they are better suited for the heat. this is getting a bit off track tho'. prbably has nothin' to do with FMIC or radiators. it is a good kwestion to start with tho'... Rhys..
  21. mees a 26, 27 in july
  22. whats peopples thoughts on using an air gun/compressed air to clean all the sh!t out of the engine bay. Mine's prtetty clean mind you. just don't want dirt and crap flying itno places it shouldn't. I'm assumiong cover up the same areas that woul dbe effectd by the water HEY?
  23. i cleaned my POD filter the other week with the K&N recharge Kit! what a big difference it makes to you r car. I also changed plugs too. The thing is running ever so sweetly now. Full wheel spin off the gas on low boost (7.5psi), no clutch. THe weather in Petrh's is a bit hot lately to run high boost. can't wait for a cooler day/night....
  24. remembering guys that black does absorb heat faster white/aluminium, BUT it reaches a certain heat and then stops absorbing. Whereas the white/aluminium keeps absorbing.....
