  1. Hey guys, I've owned a V35 350GT sedan for 2 years now. Ever since I bought it the I knew the clutch was eventually going to go. I just recently (8 weeks ago) had a new flywheel and clutch installed and a wheel bearing replaced ($2500 total!!!). Since yesterday my car is making some noises. There are 2 noises I can hear that sound peculiar. Noise # 1: If I am sitting idle in neutral and when I disengage the clutch a whurring noise CUTS IN but when I engage the clutch it FADES OUT. Its not too loud but I only heard it because I was in a KFC drive thru next to a wall where the sound reverberates off the wall. Noise # 2: Every time I go from idle or almost idle and then accelerate in either 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear there is a grinding/whurring sound which kicks in about half a second after the clutch is disengaged. I took it back to the same mechanic that installed my clutch and flywheel and he says "The car has had a hard life and now all the issues are coming to a head and it is an engine issue, not a clutch issue". He thinks it is 'endfloat' issues with the crankshaft, meaning there is movement in the cranshaft back and forth. I just don't know whether he is talking shit because he was the one that installed my clutch and doesn't want to own up to any shitty work he did or whether he is properly diagnosing it. I was wondering if anyone can: 1. Shed light on this mechanical issue or 2. Recommend a good mechanic in Brisbane area that can give me an honest, objective opinion. Thanks in advance Blake
