  1. But are there some ID's on the box that I can look for? Or something that stands out that is different to the RB20 box? Because I don't really want to have to take the box out

  3. I'm trying to figure out what gearbox I have, it has a RB25 and I'm not 100% sure if it is S1 or S2 either. How can I tell ??? I also have found that I am changing gears very quickly, would a RB20 on a RB25 be the cause of this, or could it be my diff (ca18?)
  4. Yeh I will try Hardcore and see what they come up with, I have brand new plantinum gapped down to .8 aswell.
  5. Does taping the coil packs only help when they have obvious cracks in them?? I'm having trouble with my RB25, have searched alot and tryed a few different things but still got the misfire up high (4500 onwards) Might aswell add mine too I suppose. RB25 -Hybrid turbo -fmic -exhaust -haltech -custom plenum -600HP fuel pump -249RWkw @ 12.5 Psi Dyno done over a year ago before buying the car, so it needs a tune badly. Got some injectors to go in and fix the misfire then might turn the boost up a bit more
  6. Thanks for the advice people. I will try asking them how much per hour at the next shop and see what they come up with, no need to pay for 4 hours when I might olny need 1 or 2..

  9. I am looking around for prices for a tune on my car (RB25), it has a misfire above 4500Rpm and I've got bigger injectors to go in. The car has a Haltech E6K aswell as other things. I jsut got back from APC at Underwood then and he said around 500-600 plus around 150 for fitting of injectors, possibly more. He would need to check it out first (beause of a custom plenum) I think this is a bit dear??? What is everyone else paying, any recommendations???
  10. I have gapped mine down to .8 mm because it was mis-firing. Still havng the same problem but. If it is not causing you any troubles, I say leave them alone.. And you want to to remove the 8 or so allan key bolts from the plastic cover on the rocker to get to the plugs etc.
  11. Thanks for the help, I have done a search about the misfiring. And I have tryed a few of the solutions and still no better.. I'll try another one..
  12. I'm having problems with my car (misfiring), have done the plugs. But I hink it will either be the coil packs or soemthing with the air/fuel. The engine is a RB25 and is running a Haltech E6K. I was thinking of taking it to APC because I have heard they have the good equipment for Haltech. But what sort of price would I be looking at roughly for a good tune?? Should they be able to fix my misfire?? Any other suggestions?
  13. Yeh that sounds like it might be the source, I will give it a try tommorow aswell. I'm due for some new plugs anyway so might aswell.

  15. It is not a standared thing, he has screwed two of them into it? $640 is alot to spend on something I'm still not sure will fix the problem?? I'm probably going to get a set of high quality Iridium plugs first and see how that goes, what gap should I be getting?
  16. I don't want to sound stupid, but it has two "igntion" packs or something screwed onto the rocker cover. I'm guessing they are supposed to strengthen the spark or soemthing? Or am I way off? I don't know anyone with a set of coilpacks that I can try, what does a new upgraded set cost roughly??
  17. Hybrid turbo, dyno was done last year so I think it would be putting out a bit less by now. stock cams
  18. Could possibly be coil packs, but when it miss-fires it continuees doing it until I change gears..
  19. Yeh could be that, it only seems to happen in the heat?? I'm waiting on a set of 740cc's to come then see what happens, any more ideason what it might be?
  20. I'm having some problems when I go past around 4-4500Rpm after driving for a little while.. The car mis-fires and sputters ie. looses power. I'm running 12.5psi making around 250rwkw on standared injectors, bigger fuel pump. exhaust,fmic,haltech e6k etc. I searched and found that the problem might be the gap on my plugs is too big, so I gapped them down to .8. Worked when I went for a test drive, but still breaking down when I was out today... Another thing, it has a custom intake plenum which has some small gaps around the gasket from not being tight enough on one side. And around number 6 injector doesn't have a tight seal and is sucking in some air.. could this be my problem?> Any other ideas???

  23. I had a search on google and found some info from Meggala's site on injectors. Heres the link. LINK Going from the 550CC's should be able to support at least 500hp if I worked it out right?? Still don't know if they will screw the engine while I'm driving to the shop to get the tune but..?
  24. What % duty cycle were they running at?? Did the car run fine after you installed them, or was it running too rich?? I need to know if I will be able to drive it to the dyno shop after installing them or if it will cause damage..
