I'm looking at buying a car with an RB25 which has made 480HP@20psi and am wanting to know if the engine can safely handle this power? It has the following support mods aswell and the power was made on a TD06-25g injecters fmic exhaust bigger fuel pump Microtech GTR box with heavy clutch oil catch can Engine is said to have 65,000km's on it too.. So does it sound like the car would be able to handle this power without blowing up on me??? Also, I did a search but couldn't find exactly the info I was after. What are the power specs of this turbo? Externally gated? And what boost can be run through it? Cheers, Matt.

I'm looking at 17K for mine, I will be getting pics of the car tomorow. It has the looks, and the go to back it up. But thinking more about it, I don't think I would be able to come up with the extra cash needed. But GL with your sale, very nice car!!

I am thinking of importing a 32 GTR or GTST, and I have heard that the GTR's are prone to "blowing" up due to their age when they get over here and the thrashing they get in Japan?? Can anyone fill me in, and also if you know of any good, cheap, reliable importers in the brisbane area, please let me know. Cheers, Matt.

It sounds like the RB25 would be the way to go if I shop around and get some cheaper prices. And my dad is a mechanic so it wouldn't be too hard to do the conversion either. By what you posted your saying to just keep the rb20 gearbox? Would that be able to handle the power alright?? and I'm guessing a manual RB25 cut is dearer than an auto??

If the rb25 conversion was cheap enough I would be looking to upgrade the turbo aswell instead of hi-flowing.

I am planning on buying a R32 GTS-T with the RB20DET and my first upgrade will probably be a good size turbo with the neccessary support sysytems like fuel pump, injecters, ecu if needed etc. I am wanting to get around the 250rwkw mark without doing internal work and without too much lag. Could anyone suggest a turbo, and support systems that i would need for this??? And a rough price guide if possible??? Cheers, Matt.

Yeh that would probably be the best option. I still have to wait a few months before I know if I will be getting one or not. But if I do get one I'll be sure to test it out drifting before trying to chnage to rwd. Matt.

Yeh that's true. But I consider myself smart enough to keep that sort of thing on the track, instead of somewhere where I could hust myself,my car, or someone else.. Matt.
