Have you had your engine leakdown tested croat? I'm not planning on rebuilding the engine atm, I'm hoping to crack 400hp safely. The car isn't driven that often so I'm hoping it is going to last

Yeh I wasn't too sure if was 600 or 700hp rated. I haven't talked to them directly but the person I am buying my kit through "6boost" has had many of his customers make400hp and over with the stocko. What can I do to check the engines condition?

Yeh I think it rated at 600hp with the .82 housing which is what I'm getting..? Will most likely be getting tuned at PITS which I have only heard good things about. So you think I should be alright with the stocko one?

I will be installing a 35/40 onto my rb25 along with a few other bits and pieces and after talking to a mate I'm wondering if I will need to lower the compression to be on the safe side? I will be aiming for around 400hp. What are the pros and cons of doing this and is it worth it? Cheers

Got the same sorta problem with mine. Have you checked to see if your getting enough voltage from your alternator? Also could it be getting too much fuel??

As far as I know it's the standard ca18det diff... Would changing this to something like a 1.5 lsd make a big difference? -

Can you give me a bit more info on what you mean? The driveshaft is on more of an angle then normal from what I can see.. -

Hard to keep going as in the car grips very hard unless you stay heavy on the throttle. It's making around 250kw so it has decent power to keep going. I will get some different tyres and an allignment and see what happens. -

I know the Azenis are part of the problem, but I have driven the car with a pair of old rock hard tyres with hardly any tread and it was better, but still not what I was hoping for.. The only reason they are on there is because they came on the wheels when I bought the car. I have no idea what my allignment settings are, would my best option be to get the car properly alligned? Any suggestions -
The car is a 180sx which has been converted to an RB25. When driving slow the car sort of hops when it's in gear or when the clutch is out. It also does this sometimes at around 100km's when I back off. I've had it up on the hoist and the centre bearing (The rubber part that the tailshaft goes through) is pretty much collapsed/screwed.. Would this be the problem? Or would it be something else?

This might sound like a stupid question but I am just wondering why my car is so difficult to control sliding?? It's a 180sx with an RB25 with Tein coilovers. It's easy enough to get sliding with the power it's making but to keep it going is pretty hard compared to my old 180 (sr20,lowered springs). It's also got Azenis semi-slicks on the rear. I've noticed that the inside of the rear tyres are worn more than the outside, would a wheel alignment help me out here or has anyone got any other ideas..

I've got an RX7 turbo which has been highflowed, small front mount, large custom forward facing plenum, blitz bov, haltech e6k ecu, no afm, 3" exhaust, 740cc injecters, larger fuel pump I will soon be upgrading to a GT35/40 bu until then I need the cotrol the boost with the current setup..

Ok I will give that a go in the morning. currently high boost is set to 15Psi and it's going to around 17-18Psi.. I think the gain is set at about 18% and it's the spec II controller. If this doesn't work do you have any other suggestions? Would the large plenum have any affect on this?

By start boost do you mean the lower boost level I have set?

I just installed a Greddy Profec B spec II onyo my RB25 and it is still boosting past what I have set it at.. I have an custom plenum which is pretty large and I'm just wondering if that could be part of the problem? Being too large and not giving a good vacuum source??? any help would be much appreciated.. Car has been dynoed at 334HP @ 12.5psi (250rwKW) before I bought it, the only thing holding it back from making more power is the intercooler and piping which is too small. I will post up the dyno sheet when I find it. The engine conversion was done by the previous owner and had around 100,xxx kms, body has around 150 From what I can remember and I have hardly driven the car since buying it due to having only 1 point… That is all I can think of off the top of my head, I will add more when I remember it. The car is in need of a tune, so it will either be going back to the shop before I sell it or the new buyer can do it themselves. Rego will be renewed this week aswell. Like I said I am in NO RUSH TO SELL so please NO STUPID OFFERS!! If I don't get what I'm after I will keep it and save for a complete rb25/30 rebuild.
