  1. of course.... im sure it is
  2. supposed to run the new car at various speed & gears. just like when you get a gearbox rebuild.... going through each gears to run it in, especially the first 500km.
  3. so you were running in your new car by doing freeway/motorway driving? (assumming you left melb and went to dromana)

    Transport Fees?

    i dropped my car off at the TNT depo (Villawood) and they dropped it off at my apartment on st kilda road for $545 oneway for 4" clearance truck... i will have to confirm all the figures/info once i find my '06 diary. they were very pleasant to deal with. i'd use them again if im bring it back to sydney.
  5. why would i want to be a cop? just because i have pointed out the obvious/truth and you are talking about supporting with me?
  6. what has been done... maybe someone can give you some ideas on how to make it look stock-ish. other than that... you are pretty much screwed.
  7. the police have every right to physically defect vehicles on the spot unless it is in a private area.... and if they really want to get you & if they are able to identify your vehicle by the number plates, you will most likely be receiving a letter requesting for an inspection. from the pix i have seen from this BBT night event, it was an open area, and looks like everyone can just walk in to admir/laugh at the cars... so what makes it different for the cops to walk in and having a power trip? during my auto salon competing days, i have seen cops walking inside the auto salon show arenas/halls/exhibition centres taking down number plates and defect cars (during the weekend, while competing/showing), as well as pulling cars over defecting when they have lfet the show on sunday evening/night.
  8. engineer certificate cover all thing you have done to your car. a modified car can be tuned to the EPA standard during the engineer certification process. but it doesnt stop ppl boosting it/run different fuel/tuning program after it has been engineered. hence the cop will still ask you to go to EPA even though you have the car engineered. i have had a mate of mine asking to go to EPA for a noise test when he has a stock exhaust on his honda.... so there you go. and trust me, the cops/authorities will go an extra step to find "faults/defects" if they really want to... even though the car is engineered. another mate of mine has his imported nissan defecetd with a sponsor's sticker on the windscreen (the wiper touches the stickers when in motion...), when his car has been engineered for the engine works, sussy, wheels, half cage etc. not everyone can be trusted these days... rather to be safe then sorry... and it is one of these things you have to put up with when owning/driving a registered modded vehicle. i agree with the cops because 99% of them are/were doing the right thing. doesnt mean im sucking up to them and trying to brownie points. i dont agree with them for a certain things. heck, i still have a modified car sitting in my garage in sydney for over the last 4 yeras because of RTA/EPA defects.
  9. simple solution: mod your car properly within the guideline, have it engineered and dont be a dickhead/hoon/hero on the road. the cops are just doing their job. /i wish i had the time/effert to go through my modding life again, i'd def. do things abit differently.
  10. dont you guys have cops at every possible street exits around the show ground after the show is over to book/defect cars and/or take down number plates and request for an inspection via letters? i'd assume the cars will have to get out of the show ground with numberplates on at some stage after the show is over.... (street drive, not trailor queens)

    Hooning ?

    private or public car park?
  12. good luck... im seriously hoping there are no new sites to be build... by telstra that is
  13. telstra is the half owner of the hutch 3G network at the moment (joint partnership). telstra is currently budiling the 3G network for Hutch nation-wide. when there is no hutch 3G coverage, you get put on telstra GSM900 network. optus and voda is the other partnership in the other WCDMA2100 world. what will you be doing over the next few months?
  14. no it wont. optus is going"sole" in their 3G coverage in some up-coming areas (ie. pissing off Voda). it wont be of any competition to telstra's NextG network. telstra has gone 3G for quite a sometime now.... yes, both WCDMA2100 and WCDMA850
  15. word! which department are you at?
