the 4 door doesnt have any more space than the a 2 door though. so your getting into the same space through a smaller door.
im around 6.2 and almost 100kg and i get in and out of my car just fine.
im just curious about the appeal. i understand the price cause they are rare, its just that they dont look anywhere near as tuff as a gtr cause they havent got the pumped guards. i am also curious as to whether nissan would officially recognise them as a GTR.
.
The 4 door has way more room for my teenage son who is 6.1, there is no way I can get him in the back of a 2 door. The appeal to me is I can have a family car that is way better than anthing I can afford here, and it is exclusive.
About the pumped look, you may want to take a second look as the 4 door also has the wider front AND rear guards, as the running gear is exactly the same as a 2 door.

that is hot, im officially JEALOUS
Thanks Mad Wagon

I used R33 Skyline for cooler, suspension and so on the only bit Stagea is the exhaust which wasnt too hard to source.
Skyline Imports will "lend" me the std bits for compliancing.

I see it is at JAD and what is the go with the aftermarket front bar and all the other mods, do you have to put all standard and are you getting it back.
I had mine returned to standard in Japan.
Everything has to go back to std for compliance. I will put all the good stuff back on after.

Thanks all.
I might even swap cars with my wife occasionally

Not sure on whether I will have to sell the shocks, the guy from Skyline Imports wants to do a deal. Will let anyone interested know is deal falls through.

Hey Edwardo
Did you purchase that stagea from TAU? If you were I was the other guy bidding against you.
Didn't end up getting it cause the plate was missing. Have you had any troubles?
Nah it is all good no damage and nothing missing got it at the USS auctions about 8 weeks ago.

It has approx 54000klm.
Has an Apexi Power FC, Blitz Electronic boost controller, Trust exhaust, ARC FMIC, Tein super street coil overs (which will be for sale - too hard for my wife). Don't know what brand the body kit is.
Skyline Imports doing the complience.

Looks very nice. Do you mind saying how much it will cost fully complianced?

My wife's Stagea has just landed in Oz! It is a 1999 Series II Manual!!!
Complience should be available in the next two weeks.

I've seen this car in the flesh. It's very nice
I even took a very bad quality photo of it with my mobile
That is at Gavin's shop it is using a bit too much fuel.( I know it is a GTR) but one of the oxygen sensors is faulty I am waiting for one from Japan, and a Power FC.

I think you would find that Edwardo's car has a yellow (pesonal import) compliance plate as it would not have passed under the new scheme. I also looked at a Stagea 260RS in Queensland and this car was $60k, but it is not the same as a REAL 4 door GTR.....I had to settle for a XR6 Turbo at the end of the day, but I would swap it in a heartbeat for that 4 door GTR:wassup:
Mine was imported under the old scheme. I saw the black one as well it was a very nice conversion. I have seen one other a silver 97 it ended up in SA. They only came in three colours. White, silver and purple (the one I really wanted).
It is amazing how many Skyline owners who stop and don't believe it is genuine ,until I let them inspect it.
Pics of the interior and under the bonnet, and the other two colours.

Wtf is a Stagea GTR?
To be precise an Nissan Stagea Autech 260RS
"Introduced to compete with the Subaru Legacy Touring wagon, the Nissan Stagea was launched in 1996 and featured a 2.5-litre inline-six engine. It was good for a claimed output of 276 horsepower, however the real ratings would have been closer to 293. Sending power to all four wheels, that model was good for a 0-60 mph time of 6.4 seconds and a 1/4 mile time of 14.5. Enter Autech and the Stagea 260RS. Using the Skyline GTR engine and driveline, the stated output remained at 276 but in reality that figure was now closer to 310. Besides a small increase in displacement from 2.5 to 2.6 litres, the Stagea Autech also employs a beefier rear anti-roll bar and a strut brace linking the front suspension towers as well as a mechanical limited slip differential for the rear axle and Brembo disc brakes with ABS all around to improve stopping power. The straight line performance, braking and handling is improved dramatically over the base model. If this this is still not enough though, a Nismo tuned version is available whose 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are somewhere in the neighbourhood of 5.1 and 13.6 seconds, respectively."

Info on it is very hard to find but I was told it was based on a V-Spec II and I found a couple of websites that said the same thing. Still can't believe everything you read heh..

Hi,
I've got one, Not the real Autech version, but one made from a Series 2 R33 GTS4.
So it's a bit more stealth
Any pics?

Like the Stagea GTR the 4 door GTR was developed by Autech. They used the running gear from a R33 GTR VSpec II. Only made in very small runs as a Nissan 40th Anniversary special edition
Family car.. that's why I bought it.

Mate imports Skylines and he originally bought the car for himself but he gets restless and the rest is history

Is there anyone else with a 4 Dorr GTR?
