  1. Hope I don't have to go through the same hassle. Good to hear you got one so cheap though.
  2. If you do manage to find one could you please let me know? Mine has a small leak and will need replacing soon too. Blast those backfires!
  3. Nice figure. Wish mine was making that sort of power.
  4. IC. Thanks for clearing that up.
  5. When I bought my skyline the same thing came up when I did a revs check: "Your state does not have RTA access" I was a little concerned so I did a check against my own car at the time and it said exactly the same. Unfortunately I don't think the free online REVs check works for us ACT people. I got a proper paid one done.
  6. This might be a silly question, but why do you want replacement mounts? Simply to replace the stock ones if they get damaged? Or have you got some ingenious plan?
  7. Do you specifically want an original or would you be fine with a copy? Import company took a mould of mine and they could make you up a copy pretty easily.
  8. Welcome! Nice taste there. Hopefully not too many people confuse us.
  9. Mawson isn't really that much closer to me.
  10. Thanks for all your efforts, will have to pull out as I don't want to lose the ability to return to stock.
  11. LC Auto did a superb job on my liberty and about 5 other friends cars. Unfortunately sounds like word has gotten around though if hes booked out that far ahead. If I ever get my fronts tinted I will be doing it there. -Although matching the factory UV glass on the back could be interesting....
  12. Maybe the late night and alcamahol made you think it was a skyline when it was an Xr6-T?
  13. This is an example of what I'm referring to. There is nothing on the other side of the front bar. So it looks like it has been specifically cut out for a CAI. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/photopost...&cat=all&page=3 I'm thinking of getting a similar sized hole cut in my front bar and putting some piping through to the engine bay. Only thing I'm concerned about is having something to surround the cut out so it doesn't look dodgy.
  14. I should be in as long as no work commitments come up by then.
  15. Odd, the front brakes are most definitely 4 piston with 310mm rotors. As SK said I think you have a set of rear brakes.
  16. Roughly how much cash would you be talking with a trade for stock GT-T wheels? Newish tyres (80-90% tread) and only 2 very small gutter scratches on 2 wheels. And how wide are the wheels? Rubber condition?
  17. Most certainly is a Nismo. I have that bar on my GT-T.
  18. I've seen quite a few 34s with a cold air intake in the right lower half of the front bar on the nismo bars. Its a black plastic surround that is just next to the front indicator and is roughly the same size. Does anyone know if the surround is a specific part or just made up? Seems to be an aftermarket part as I have seen quite a few with the same surround. If this part can be readily bought, has anyone seen any for sale? I haven't come across it in my searches so far. Thanks.
  19. I'm betting its a photo of Jayce's car in the mag?
  20. Sun and rain most definitely damage the interior and the paint. Sun dries out leather and also some plastics causing fading, cracking and brittleness. Rain can carry nastive corrosive chemicals from the atmosphere which will fade and even pit paint. Cities with worse pollution or next to the sea are worse with this. Unfortunately all cars will suffer to an extent as its not exactly possible to avoid it. Just best to minimise it by keeping your car under cover and cleaning at regular intervals. Sun shades for when parking on hot days are always a good idea (prevents people from seeing any inside goodies too). Worst comes to worst, maybe look into car covers? No idea how feasible and effective they are as mine is always parked inside at night and undercover during the day.
  21. In car entertainment system as opposed to incar PC? The PS2 is much easier to fit. Seems to be the only reason I can think of. HDD Loaders are very popular though as they can decrease load time "apparently" and avoid disc read errors like my old shitty V3 experiences.
  22. Riceline: some corrections. Firstly the X800 agp is faster because the core(430 off the top of my head?) is native AGP technology and uses a bridge chip to convert to PCI-X. Absolutely nothing to do with the "limitations" of PCI-X. The reverse is also found to be true, native PCI-X cards are faster than the versions using bridge chips to AGP - case in point 6600GT. Secondly, the 16x and 8x doesn't mean squat, as no card is even coming close to maxing out the bandwidth available on AGP 8x. Nor will any card in the forseeable future.
  23. Neither - The best socket for games has proven to be the socket 939 athlon 64s. AGP or PCI express is a personal question you will have to decide upon yourself. PCI express is the new technology and it is debatable as to how long AGP is going to still be around. It won't be dissapearing tomorrow but it will be phased out in a few months?years? In my opinion it would be best to wait a little bit for an nForce 4 motherboard with PCI express as none of the current socket 939 motherboards have pci-express available. This way you can upgrade your processor and video card down the track and still have an up-to-date system. As for video card, this is an even tougher question. Around the $400 mark you are probably looking at either an older 9800pro(AGP) or a 6600GT(AGP or PCI X). I would suggest the 6600GT and see how you go with overclocking as they tend to have a bit of headroom depending on what latency RAM they come with.
  24. gaki, an excellent guide with photos at http://www.r34gtt.net/r34howtoradio.html
