  1. Thats a switch for a valve in the exhaust. Factory option. Either allows more flow and louder or less flow and quieter. Unfortunately the valve tends to get stuck due to the gunk in exhaust gases combined with temperature and water.
  2. PS2 release?
  3. Yes I know.
  4. Thats an awfully narrow tyre for a 9 inch wide rim? I just put 235/45/17s on mine and the TCS comes on less so than before. I suspect you may just have to grin and bear it until the tyres wear down some.
  5. 225/45/17 are stock tyre size
  6. Also playing star ocean 3 when I get a chance. It seems to always take a backseat to San Andreas though. I quite like the game but there was one sequence where there was no player interaction and constant talking for almost an hour, I almost went insane. All Final Fantasys are great but I am a sucker for 7 as are most. Can't wait for Advent Children.
  7. Nope, purely just let the car idle for a set amount of time before automatically switching off.
  8. More than likely they will not be xenon headlights as they must be converted as part of the compliance process. They will be the xenon casings converted to halogens. If so the halogen bulbs are cheap as chips. My parker blew and cost me all of $1 to replace. As for tyres, you will have to spend a couple of hours ringing around all your local dealers and getting the best price you can. Check the steering/suspension/tyres forum for some recommendations as to decent but not over-priced tyres. I also believe that 33 GTs-t pads fit the 34 which makes them a lot easier to track down.
  9. Standard ECU is required. Nearly all aftermarked ECUs wont work with the tiptronic box. There are a few options but none of the usual options like Power FC. No idea on size wise sorry.
  10. Probably best to post in your state section as each state has different laws.
  11. Yes i was wrong about the offset. That was the offsets for 18x8 and 18x9 to fit my car. Nfi why i remembered at the time that they were stock offsets. But yes they are most definitely 7.5 wide. Tyre placards etc state it.
  12. They are 7.5 wide not 7. Stock tyre size is 225/45/17. Offset is roughly 35 front, 38 rear. - May want to double check that
  13. Say goodbye to the entirety of your bootspace though. I have one boxed 12 in my boot and it takes up just on half the boot space. Then mounting the amp as well leaves even less space. As for quality recommendations on the brand i'd say www.caraudioaustralia.com would be your best bet.
  14. lol No surprises really. Some of the shonky work/design that was done..... Wasn't criticising your work if involved. Was just making a general statement. Sorry if i offended.
  15. Scary - I did a Systems Engineering/IT double at ANU too. Finished last year. Lots of people spent most of 2003 trying to fix the disaster that was the 2002 FSAE car
  16. I could run upto 245 apparently, however i don't think I want to as any significant change in the rolling diameter plays havoc with the TCS. Yeah i saw that price from Tempe on their website but got quoted an extra $10 when i rang up - a little worrying to me. Thanks for the suggestions though.
  17. Did the ring around today and was disgusted with some of the prices from some merchants I will not mention. More than double the price of other retailers. Anyone happen to have seen better prices for these in a 225/45/17 Falken ST1152 - $230 Dunlop SP9000 - $239
  18. I'm in if you want a 34 GT-T
  19. LTSJayce Might be interested to know that the first STi produced cars were actually Libertys/Legacys. Just as a side fact. Liberty RS type RA.
  20. Roadway in Belco did a great job on my old liberty. Even helped me out free of charge for two separate incidents afterhand. Once to repair a crack that developed because of the lateral movement of a boxer engine and secondly to quieten it down after being defected. Would highly recommend them.
  21. Found a very small rust bubble at the top of my high mount brake light on my 34. Apparently a very common problem as the water tends to sit around it. Suggestions how to treat this to prevent it spreading any further. Preferrably without doing any damage to the surrounding paintwork if possible. Thanks
  22. Could possibly be boost/fuel cut. If it starts jerking and revs drop that would be my suggestion. Mine very occasionally does it on very cold mornings if i hit 15psi. Another possible suggestion is that the turbo is sucking the afm to turbo duct closed. Only really a possibility if you are running higher than stock boost.
  23. te37s by any chance?
  24. The $400 is for ANY claim for theft/damage because your car is more likely to attract theives attention and more likely to crash(apparently) because it is modified. I'm with Just Cars and I have to pay the modded excess on any claim. Also I would not even consider lying about your mods because they can and WILL completely void any claims if you lie about whats done to your car. Is it worth the extra few hundred dollars if your car gets written off and they won't pay you a cent? I don't think so.
  25. Thinking of getting one too. Keep us informed. Thanks.
