cheers for the pics, conversions looking good there. Just jap don't want to get back to me so I might look elsewhere as from wahwt I can tell its a split pulse manifold and the wrong flange type.
-
cheers for the reply shaun, they are $550 which is why i'm interested, but if they are not good quality i'd rather spend $900, I hate shitty parts. But I am starting to run low on funds for the car so thats why i'm looking around at ready made manifolds. Hopefully they can supply me with collector pics and some more info as the site doesn't list a damn thing
-
there is many differences, they are not that similar.
-
after looking at your pics, its definately a different manifold as I mentioned. the head flange is different, pipes are bent differently, pipe 2&5 go into collecter in different position.
-
are you sure this is the same as the ebay ones as the ebay ones look to be a different design to me... they only have a single pipe from the collecter for the wastegate, where as this has 2 pipes from the collecter merging into one. pipes merge into collecter differently they have a 2 bolt flange for wastegate, where as this has 4 the overall pipe shape is different on one of these 2 an ebay one. these are the ebay ones i'm talking about and haven't seen ones that look like the one I displayed yet
-
Thanks for that. Has anyone actually had one on their car though?
-
Looking around for a manifold at the moment. Someone mentioned having a look at the ones on the justjap site. Never heard anything about them so I was just wondering if people around here have used them and what they thought of the quality. Or are these like those ebay ones you see all over the place? I have asked for the pipe wall thickness and some pics of inside the collecteor as this pic doesn't really show me much.

For starters, make sure you have the calipers on the correct sides (bleeder at the top of the caliper) I've seen it done before and you get a very long/shitty pedal as you can never get all the air out. Thats just one thing to check before you start spending cash, as we all have our blonde moments and do stupid things. Next go grab yourself some of those plastic brake hose clamps to diagnose the problem. Clamp off all 4 lines. The pedal should feel normal. so check that first before proceeding The a31 master will have 2 lines for the front brakes whare as the z32 will have the single line which will be split into 2 at a junction box. You can get around this by installing a junction box but will require altering your brake lines. Then you can take both fronts off theck the then both rears ect you get the picture Then if it is the master and you really cant find one to suit go get your master bored out if you end up having no luck, but abit of a pricey option. But surely there is another master out there to suit.

the booster shouldn't make any difference. The booster will change the amount of effort that goes into the pedal(Smaller booster = harder pedal and vice versa). But if you have a soft pedal and you can pump it upto being hard then your problem I would have said it's your master cylinder(or there is air in the lines somewhere). The turbo and non turbos skylines use masters with a different sized bore (gtst stock is 1") check the side of your masters for the part nubmers to work out bore size BM44 is 15/16 BM50 is 1" BM57 is 1 1/16" Youd want BM44 minimum but preferably BM50. thinking about it more if it was the master you would just get a long pedal. meh too tired to think straight.

Can anyone tell me if the outside dimensions of an rb20det and rb25det gearbox are the same? Also does the shifter come out in the tunnel in the same position? cheers
