  1. I currently use a 590 CCA & 740 CA.
  2. 170? Really?
  3. Out of curiosity and finalizing a debate with a friend, what is the correct CCA (cold cranking amps) and CA (cranking amps) for the RB's? I'm currently using 590 CCA and 740 CA. Buddy is saying that CCA should be at least 700 and CA near 875. To me that'd fry the starter. Am I wrong or is he? Tried googling starter specs but there's a great deal of conflicting specs due to remans and aftermarket. So what is the correct battery to use in a Skyline? Also should state this argument has been agreed upon stock compression ratios at 9:1.
  4. I know it's a lot to take in but your best bet is find the tire you'd like to run. I.e. BFGoodrich. Go to bfg's website and look at their specs for the tire. They'll give you a rolling outer diameter. Now the fun part is to find another tire with the same measurement. Here's another monkey wrench. Tire pressure is everything. You'd be running the recommended tire pressure at all times. So pressure up front will differ from the rear hence the two different tires. All specs given on the websites are given with the idea of the tire being properly mounted and properly inflated.
  5. Manufactures design the tire without stretching in the process. Tire stretching alters the tires overall dimensions which throws out every wheel calculator known. This is were a tire tape and knowing your calculus. Just how Nizmo Man stated, tire pressure will also alter rolling diameter. This is where I was stating mix matching tire manufacturers sometimes works because their specs of a 265 of a Hankook tire will be different of a 265 from Nitto. This applies across the board.
  6. So Nizmo Man just answered your question. As long as the mathematical rolling circumference is identical, width DOES NOT matter. I had a guy turn blue in the face trying to tell me width of tire will affect the system. Big myth. Even the smallest difference in outer diameter circumference won't be noticeable to you or the computer but eventually will wear down the mechanical aspect of the differentials and/or transfer case. Largest problem of a staggered offset on awd is the tires. It's extremely difficult or near impossible to find a front that rolls the same as the rear. Mix matching tire manufacturers has sometimes worked but the time and research needed to find such a match is ridiculous.
  7. After doing tons of Google reading, I've found this and is extremely helpful. http://www.skyline-owners-club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17660
  8. Currently using the Advan A13. Can't give pos or neg feedback as of yet
  9. Out of curiosity what switches are to up and down on the side of the eManage for a s1 rb25det?
  10. Can't get this song out of my head!
  11. Same setup I plan to run on my 33! I'm not sure which tire to run though.... I like the looks of the A050. Have you or anyone else have opinions on these tires? Looking for aggressive tread pattern, dry summer, not quite a slick, type of tire. Good with traction hookup but not destroyed in 10k. Car is a street weekend warrior. Not a track car. I'm located in the states but willing to import a set if it's worth it. Been big on BFGoodrich, Nitto, and Yokohama. Thanks in advance for the advice and input! Whatsisname, car looks great!
  12. So if this wheel suits the 32 and lower, what suits the 33 and up?
  13. I haven't pulled it off yet but that's what I'm leaning towards. Damn those iavc
  14. Have an RB25DET with a Greddy Manifold and a KU Engineering throttle body. Driving the car tonight and it felt like it wanted to stay slightly open. Almost like my throttle was sticking. Pulled the charge pipe off and cycled the butterfly back and forth but it slams shut pretty well. It was also very clean so no carbon was present. Check the accelerator pedal to see if was binding up but nothing seemed wrong. Tried googling for a website for tech help but I can't find the manufactures site or contact info. Never heard of KU nor did I purchase the part for it was already installed on the car when bought. Anyone have any insight of KU? Common issues? Would anyone suggest adding a lubricant to the throttle cable? I usually don't like to cause it seems to attract dirt and grime creating more issues. Could it be something completely different than the throttle body? IACV?
  15. Thanks for the advice
  16. Little help. Difference between the 4PK880 & 4PK950. Length? Which works with what motor or options?
  17. As long as the offset of your new 16" wheel clears your brakes, it'll be fine
  18. Are you using adjustable c/o's? If not and just using a sport spring and shock combo, you should lower it first to your desired ride height and go from there. Also remember that cambering in will change fitments too. For the question about an 8 wide with 25 offset, start at page one here on this page thread. You may change your mind on that size after reading more and seeing others fitments.
  19. I'll trade all the Camaros for a 34 vspec nur if you'd like
  20. $20 on rolled odometer
  21. Watch this guys! Keep an eye on this auction. You'll see first hand how much the States wants skylines http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=181542696787
  22. Done both methods. Highly recommend pulling the motor unless you have access to a two post car lift
  23. Hard to tell if this is legit http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=321528057996
  24. Would you by chance know if this would be the same for the Apexi one?
