Comments:
im 28 yrs old, im no ricer. just after a colour other than what every other r32 seems to be (grey or black)
definately not into pink polos, or cars.
And i want the car to look nice, so matt black is out of the question
I am painting my car this week, and i still cant decide on a colour.
Please help and provide pics to backup your answer.
ATM i am thinking 'blueprint blue' or a purple pearl.
my engine fan makes clicking noises when the motor is running, it seems the bearing is dry/worn. can i pull it apart to lubricate it? I cant see any screws or the like to strip it.
any help appreciated.
the wastegate has a hose coming from the manifold , id check that.
if boost is 12psi, maybe your boost controller is leaking. maybe take that out and run stock boost and see if it does the same fault?
i will give it a go, im sure on my rotor the thermo worked fine, not sure what size the stock rb20 fan is, but must be around 12in.
if it dont work , i will just chuck a normal fan and shroud back on. probly going to leave the shroud on anyways.
Hi, Im David, I've recently got myself a r32 with rb20, rb25 turbo, 3in ex, FMIC, 10psi boost.
It been given gtr guards front and rear, and will be sprayed very soon.
Nissans are new for me, i've owned rotors for the past 10 years or so (im 28)
found it after some isolation of parts. Turned out being the clutch fan bearing had siezed up and it was clicking round. I took the clutch fan off and ran the motor and its perfect. couldnt believe it. The fan was rooted, i've bought a 12in thermo fan to run instead.
Thanks for all the replies guys.
have i overtightened the plugs and now they are clipping the pistons? the head has been shaved for more compression. Its a recently rebuilt motor. RB20
solved see below
being auto, and you said it works ok in nuetral and reverse, my guess would be the isolator/safety switch that wont let you start the car in gear?
Im no expert, but its just an idea. maybe its got a loose connection or exposed wire somewhere
got told this morning by my mate that when i took off there was smoke (black) coming out of my exhaust. But when it warmed up, no smoke. really only because i had just started it that morning.
i recently fitted a FMIC kit to my r32, when we pulled the pipes off they had noticable oily residue in them. Is this normal?
Also car seems to be hesitant to rev after 4000 and only really revs to maybe 6000 sometimes.
what could be causing this? as im new to skylines (pistons actually)
