  1. I was told by a mate that Japanese residents of Australia can import one car before they become a permanent resident. And they do not have to pay tax on it or stamp duty or something....sorry but i have no idea what the taxs are called He said that they need to have owned it for like a year or something first though.... does anyone else know of this? if so is it really worth while? or is he just blowing hot air?
  2. what's the price for a leather gear stick/handbrake boot? pm me if you like
  3. hmmm, maybe i'll pass on tokyo disneyland what about the sea world there? is it ok? and, yeah lukits, Miyazaki films kick ass it's pretty busy, we need to book month in advance And when i get back, i'll post a pic with me next to that big Totoro!, lol does anyone know if there are any other anime studio's that can be visited?
  4. Thanks
  5. Was thinking too.... as this seems to be such a confusing subject, could someone who knows what they are talking about please make a sticky post of what to use? they first post in this thread doesn't seem to make sence. (i.e PFR5G-11 is a platnum plug) That info could just give someone the wrong idea...
  6. COULD SOMEONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF BCPR6ES PLUGS GAPPED AT 0.8 WOULD BE OK TO USE....OR AM I GOING TO DAMAGE SOMETHING. (SORRY ABOUT CAPS)
  7. cool, thanks! we are seeing Tokyo Disneyland and Studio Ghibli as well
  8. thats ok, mainly i want to find info on what i can see or do, not really buying car parts. But the other stuff is interesting too. I would at least enjoy looking at all the sweet goodies that i can't bring back *drool*
  9. just came accross this thread while doing a search.... but when i had some repairs done on my car. i looked it the Nissan colour book with the spray painter and came across 3 slightly different greys for Skylines. All were called "Dark Grey". Hope this helps?
  10. I ended up getting BCPR6ES plugs .... i could not get BKR7E, only BKR6E was in stock....but aparently they are different, the thread lengths are different. NGK recomends a replacement plug for the PFR5G-11, BCPR5ES. so instead i got the "6" heat range (BCPR6ES) gapped 0.8. i will give these ones a go anyway. if they fail still, i will try something else, but as i'm reading through all these suggestions in the tread, it seems anything is worth a shot, cause everyone is saying different things
  11. would using the wrong heat range damage anything? ....i am so confused after reading all this stuff i have been running PFR5G-11 plugs, but now i;'m having problems after putting on an intercooler and upping the boost to around 11psi...... missfiring under load about 5000rpm. so i was going to give the NGK BKR7E copper plugs a go or ab i better off using BCPR6ES? i thought the copper would be worth a go first cause they are cheaper... ohhhh, all these spark plug threads are so confusing
  12. pm sent

  14. Bah! my thread got piggybacked..... i was just making this thread to find out about any cool stuff i should see... buying some bits for there car were just a secondry thing. definatly not buying a pair of seats! lol well maybe i could put them in my private shipping container i'm bringing back and yeeh, i will check out the past threads....but always good to find out about fresh or new stuff, as hangouts etc may change year to year.... is it not a good idea for some gaijin to just rock up at a hang out?? and no, its not anything to do with tokyo drift! and i was travelling to Kyoto/Osaka for sightseeing not car part shopping but those comments were prob directed at lukits so meh.
  15. :PBJ: yeah, i wish i could see the Autosalon.... that will be next time
  16. thanks, i'll be sure to check out some of those i'm keen to find some affordable nismo goodies that i can bring back in the suitcase knob, car mats...something like that i think it would be fairly expensive to post back a new turbo or a power fc.....or would it ? hmmmm only staying for 12 days... 1st to the 12th oct we can borrow a car, but i've i know the road tolls are very expensive. We are only staying in Osaka/Kyoto for a couple of days, so not sure how much car stuff i can do there....my wife is not all that keen on it...hehe
  17. Going to Japan in October for a holiday and to meet my In-laws My Wife is Japanese, so i should be able to get around ok with my limited vocab... I'm interested to know if there are any tuning shops, local car hangouts, drift shows etc, that would be close to Tokyo? We will also be going to visit Osaka and Kyoto...
