  1. Risking- couldn't agree with you more. I'm building a JZA80 Abflug and it's an aero. We bought a Cusco bolt in cage and F*** me was it shit. I looked at the sandwich plate design to the floor pan and laughed. Ended up chopping it all up, completely redesigning it, added bolt in side intrusion bars and made the hole thing completely bolt it. Now it'll actually do its job both safety and rigidity. I'm surprised these cages are designed so close to the occupants. I spose it's the easiest way.
  2. I'm running 34 sumitomos on my 300z. I've had dramas with pulling up, glazing the front rotors. I have a pair of F40's with custom 2 piece rotors but it's for my A70. My plan is to utilise what's there already. The bias is good. I hit up GSL rally sport and bought a front and rear slotted set and 1ARM pads. It was really cheap hence why I jumped on them. Because the pads are fairly soft I'll be going through more pads than rotors so it's economical. Also running high temp fluid. I'll be running some ducting to the front and see how I go. Like others said maximise what you have already. Don't go project mu rotors... WAYYYY to $$$ You could get ones made up for less than that.
  3. Sorted my coil packs contacted vhpower and Eric's making a kit from an Audi S5. Stoked, looking forward to these, injectors, box overhaul, installing my fuel flex gauge and see what it can pull on both 85 and 100 Ron. I've also gotta finish off my oil cooler/relo kit and possibly installing my accusump. Now to find the time...
  4. Plenty of shops out there using/selling surcon. Hyperdrive is one that comes to mind.
  5. Um yes lol Starter motor relocated to the other side and bell housing welded back up, adapter plate made, custom shifter, ditched the transfer case and made new mounts. I can't take and not taking credit for the build, my mate built the car and I bought it off him. First ever car I've bought not built... But it's been done extremely well. Anyone know of a better coil pack that fits a 45? And also will there be another bbk group buy???
  6. Thanks guys. I'll try uploading a pic of it on boost. It does sound nice! Thanks Luke GTR, I don't know how that didn't come up when I searched it... Even on nico forum there isn't any details. Anyway I'll be buying them, now I have to find a set of better coil packs. Then I should be able to use what I have to easily 5-550rhp
  7. Ok so I've sent off a for a quote on a long kit with synchros and rear bearing retainer for a FS5W70C gearbox. Also noted to buy a Nismo pivot ball, has anyone here bought one or has a seller that they can recommend to me? I figure ill run the box to the edge and when it gives me grief ill pull it out and stick either a T56 magnum in or a Hollinger
  8. Man how shit is the online parts catalogue??? If its anything to go by the one ive found.... toyodiy is much better. Does anyone have a better version? How do ppl here running the ppg set think if the noise? I know straight cut is stronger but damn I couldn't handle that on a daily...
  9. Id1000's? Nothing I've read says they will... Have you got a link?
  10. I'll post up picks tonight
  11. Cheers for the comments. Car will be used mainly for track. I'd like to stick to pump but I'm worried about pinging and it's comp being 10.1:1 blowing a ring. I havnt been able to find someone or a build with a vh45 going more than 10-12psi so that's why I was leaning to e85. And yeah wot doesn't Take long before I'm at the servo again lol The 550cc's are enough for 600, currently I'm on 380's an only 91% duty cycle and without sequential injection (I think that's the right term...) I simply can't fit 1000's in there... Clearance is an issue to the inlet manifold. If I do go TT ill be making a ffim where I'll have all the room in the world but for now I'll max out what's there. I'll see how it holds up on 10-12psi on 100 ron, then look into e85. 600-650 is the plan, anything more simply wont get to the ground. Also looking into 18x10 18x11.5 rims.
  12. Wtf happened to my post??? Lol Anyway, so does the gtr box run triple syncros? And I should have a look at upgrading the selectors. I will use ppg they seem to handle whats thrown at them. Anyone know of a seller for syncros?
