    Yeh you'd be pumping out some blue smoke, but sometimes it's so little you can't see it... The way to check is to feel the back bumper for oily residue

    How'd your leak down test go??? As for those -5's, don't put them in... You'll end up cooking the rear seal and turbine because its passing hot oil through the exhaust... I'm currently doing that to my car and I just rebuild my turbo. Unfortunately I got no choice ;(

    I've broken one of my rings and I occasionally get some blue smoke coming out the tail pipe... My car occasionally has this issue where if I clutch in at high revs, the revs will fall till it hits 0 and stalls... Do you think the 2 issues are related?

    I got the same problem with r33 (rb25det)... Using my ecru software I monitored the car when it does it and the voltage readings drop to low 13's.

Love the sound but hate when people completely over do it and it gets screechy and long...

    LOL - the scientific name for turbo flutter is compressor surge. Search it in google - it's not good for your turbo but its not as dramatic as some people make it!

    Maybe some of the oil drains and/or turbo drain are clogged... I got similar problem whereby if I park my car on a hill it burns oil out the tail pipe...
