CAS plug is on tight. Have had battery disconnected also for 10mins, still no change. Tried putting ecu into dianistic mode now engine wont start at all? ECU?
  5. Hey guys, The RB20DET in my HR31 won't rev past 2000rpm. If I drive it has to be kept below 2000rpm otherwise it wont accel. When it gets to 2000rpm it coughs and splutters and it almost seems like its a rev limiter. It bounces like a rev limiter. I have swapped the AFM and Ignitor from my A31 Cefiro to no success. I have sprayed all plugs I could reach with contact spray. Anyone have any ideas what this problem could be? Thanks, Chris.

  9. Here is my new Ceffy! Read About it Here: http://www.hive.net.au/jap-taxi/viewtopic.php?p=643#643 What do you think? Chris.
  10. Hi, What is involved in doing a 5 Stud Conversion to a Cefiro. What parts do I need. Thanks, Chris.
  11. That is exactly right. I too work at ford and we do get the police cars from around the local area, (South Brisbane). There is no ECU Mods at all on any vehicle owned by the QLD Police. In QLD they seem to have alot of different unmarked cars now. What I have seen at work and on the streets include: VZ SV6 Alloytec 190 VZ SS VZ SS Ute Black BA XR6T BA XR6T Ute BA XR8 BA XR8 Ute Astra Turbo AWD Magna And to the people saying that they would try to get away from the police, Don't even try it! You may think 1 car is only after you but the is 2 things on your car known as number plates. This is all the police need to access your registration details and the address of the registered owner of the vehicle. Even though you have a GT-R and you could easily loose 1 car, more could be called in to block a road up further. If you do loose the police, you will have the boys in blue knocking on your door later on. So don't try it. It just gives today tonight another reason to make us car enthusists look bad. [END RANT] Chris.
  12. Hi All, Does anyone here have any info on what needs to be done to fit an SR20DET into an R32 GTS-t? I'm fairly keen on doing this as not many people are doing it and I think it would be a good setup for drift.
  13. Hi, I will have 2 white v-opt.co.jp sticker 50cm. PLMK postage costs to 4118 Brisbane and you bank account details.
  14. It is a wise move to replace the Idler and Tensioner Bearings at 100,000km. They may only be a little bit noisey but in another 100,000km they could potentially become seized which is very bad news as the belt will then break and as a result bent valves will occur.
  15. Hi, Here is an S12 Gazelle/Silvia Forum: http://www.club-s12.org/board/. There is alot of Australians on here aswell as alot of US, Canadian and UK owners. Obviously the best base to start with would to have a five speed model and the IRS. As stated above, not very much is a straight bolt on. SR20 and CA18 are the best engines to drop in. I don't think you would have enough room for an RB20. S13 brakes and front suspention can be used along with some various parts from R31 Skylines. It is alot of work and it is an absolutly huge job to convert a live rear axle model to IRS and then to try and find an LSD (Best bet would be from a Z31). I was very seriouly considering doing this myself, but by the time you have it complete you could have a pretty well equiped SR20DET S13/180SX. I've decided to go for an AE86 now. Chris.
  16. Looking on the Willowbank web site the day has been cancelled Maybe next time. Chris.
  17. I will be there for the first time. My R32 is stock though so im not expecting any fast times. Since I will be using my normal street tyres (Falken R16 215) what tyre pressures in the rear do you guys recommend? Thanks, Chris.
  18. Don't worry skyrine dave you wont be the only HR31 there! But maybe the only passage? Im in. Chris.
  19. I'll take 1 aswell! Chris.
  20. Sounds interesting.....Got any pics??
  21. Being a 2004 model just remember, when you carry out any mods to your car it voids your new car warranty in more ways than one. I should know I work at Ford. If something even remotely related to the part you have modified breaks you will not be covered by warranty. I do feel sorry for those guys with XR8's, XR6/T, GT/P, F6 for being restricted during the 3 years of new car warranty of not being able to carry out mods if they want a warranty. It sucks. Good luck with your BA though, just a thought for you to consider.
  22. RSTME, My R32 is stock as a rock except for 3.5" Stainless catback exhaust & Trust Pod. I havent had it dynoed yet but I know for sure it is running rich because I can hear the backfireing and popping sometimes as a result. They all seem to run rich with a good exhaust. I'm getting it tuned when I get my FMIC & Boost Controller installed. Chris.
  23. Yes, HPI started doing this coversion in issue NO.44. The Main parts they were using were: RB26 Crank & Rods RB26 444cc Injectors Tomei RB24 82mm Pistons Tomei 1.2mm Metal Head Gasket (They say 7.9:1 Comp. 83.5mm Bore Size) Tomei Poncams with 8.8mm of lift (Allowing to keep hydrolic lifters) 264 IN 272 EX Tomei Valve Springs OS Giken Adjustable Cam Gears ARP Rod Bolts The turbo they were using was a old externally gated Trust kit made in the early 90's by IHI (RHC6-19C) which required a flange to mount to the exhaust manifold. It is a low mount set-up which is quite a bit bigger than the standard RB20 Hitachi turbo. In a later issue they reported that the RB20 they had bought was basically shagged and could not be used for the project. They then bought a R32 Sedan. This will be the engine that they will be using but they still have not started. I was thinking of doing this myself when I saw it, but you add up the costs, It would be around the same money or maybe cheaper to do an RB25/30 Conversion instead (Labour costs would be pretty high compared to a 3.0L conversion). In the end it comes down to if you want 2.4L or 3.0L? Looking forward nonetheless to see what figures this motor produces if they ever get round to building it. Hope that helps a bit, Chris.
