    I wouldnt buy a car based solely on what a RACV inspection tells you. The only thing about cars some of those guys know is how to jump start a car and if that doesent work call a tow truck. As for yearly running costs, u will no doubt start to modify it so whatever you have budgeted for spending that year on the car double or tripple it.

    Yes ebay is good for alot of things, but when it comes to resistors and special fuel filters that add miracle particles to give u more power it is a waste of time. There is even a electric supercharger for sale on ebay. I looks like it will such more electrical power from the battery than give u more power.

    Does it really matter as the person who buys it will just put back on whatever has been taken off as it will be all sold with the car. As long as things like brakes and other safety components are ok then theres nothing dodgy about it.

    I know wayne quiet well now and been to his workshop quite a few times in the last few months and the car he used at sandown only has the tein coilovers and semi comps as mods. Everything else was stock. Anyway that car wont see anymore track days. He did an awesome time for his first time at sandown in that car. As for winton I think i will be sideways out of every corner and kill my rear tyres before maserati day.

    Oh yeah hes got tein coilovers. What was your best times last sandown day? I am hoping to go atleast 1.30 next time before my road tyres are totally screwed. Wayne actually has a new r33 coming down in a few weeks with brembos, big slotted rotors, teins and nismo swaybars etc, hks 2835 so he should be able to give roys 1.24 a good crack to best rwd time at sandown.

    Wayne did a 1.33 (same as me) at sandown with just semi comps and 10 years of go carting experience behind him

    If your talkin about me being behind u on the warm up lap when you smoked it onto the straight and pulled away, was because i went from 2nd to 5th instead of 3rd. Dont really want to have the car off the road the rest of the year if she goes bang

    What’s sadder is that mines datsun wasn’t even the 1 that crashed the GTR into the bus stop, it was his older brother, and he though he would tell everyone he did it and be fully sick!!

    1 thing I have learned is power is nothing with handling to back it up. U might have some comp in standard 2wd as wayne is gonna do a few laps with street tyres to get the 10 points off you and then put his semi comps on and get points in the modified class also.

    With my old suspension setup, yes i would prob go quicker with less power, but come next event i will have the custom made springs, adj swaybars and new allignment settings done so i can spend more time driving straight than sideways

    I am not worried about driving it there, just worried about costs involved in towing it back if it breaks <_< Shouldnt be a problem as my tow 4x4 will be pimped and ready very soon.

    I have driven past winton about 6 times in the last 3 months on the way to falls creek for work!!! I know the hume to winton well.

    I got my set of bride r33 rails for $280 for the pair second hand from a jap wrecker. It aint that hard if u search around and get the rails. U could even get custom rails made if u know someone in the metal fab trade

    U will need to get recaro or bride seat rails for the r33 and then modify the bolt locations to match the seat as universal rails wont work.

    Chris is meant to have a hks 2835 pro s which would be modified to fit the oil/water, cooler/exhaust lines for the rb25 fittings. The garrett ones you need to modify yourself to fit everything. Its still a tight fit on the stock manifold down there for that turbo. 2540 is piece of piss to install
