Hey guys. Got an racv check on an R32 GTR which I put a deposit on. They mentioned rust on the chassis rails so I got the seller to send me some pics of it and this is it. How bad is this? Can it be fixed and at what cost? Will the car ever be the same once its fixed? Cheers

Hey guys. Got a RACV check on a R32 GTR today and it came back with structural rust and severe cracking to the chassis rails. Is it worth fixing and if so how much would this cost me roughly to fix? Any recommended body shops?

Basically to avoid the problem of ceramic dust going into the cylinders when they blow or give way lol, not looking for power, just to get a safer turbo than a 100k kms ceramic turbine wheel...

Hey guys, What is the best option to go for when replacing the factory ceramic turbos on a R32 GTR? And what price roughly does it come at?

Dude with the - botched paint work and patch ups - Misfire in a cylinder - Atessa removed and all the wires sticking out in the boot - Removed air con condenser - condition of the interior Unfortunately you wont be able to get more than around $12k for someone looking to buy it for a daily unless someone buys it for a track car and doesnt give 2 shits about that stuff

Hey guys, looking to buy an R32 gtr. Car must have little to no mods to engine, suspension and stuff is ok. Body must be rust free and very minor cosmetic damage if any. Any colour paint job will be fine. Car obviously needs to be running and if any issues are present and need urgent attention, that will be factored into negotiations. It needs to be registerable in Vic and roadworthy. If it comes with rego that would be a bonus. Thanks SAU community. Chris

Yeh give them a call and location, car and theyll send someone out. In the case of this, the guy needed to take it to an assessment Centre to be assessed

Thanks for your reply mate. Nah no cost estimate for fixing all those things. Just says recommended getting quote to fix before purchasing. The report said the rear quarter panel may have rust but needs an expert to see it and give a conlusion as the report was inconclusive. Apart from that the tester said the car was good

Thanks for your reply. The turbos have been changed to r34 gtr turbos and have seen 40k kms. When we went for a drive in it it felt smooth as all hell except my mate said that 2nd And 3rd synchros are out and need replacing. Also needs New bushes for suspension.

Im in the process of buying an r32 gtr and sent out RACV to give the one im keen on a checkover and reported back all sorts of issues. - Oil leak on front, rear upper engine - Gearbox oil leak - Clutch fluid contaminated/ low - Brake fluid contaminated - steering rack fluid leak - Brake hoses perishing/ageing Do you think these are all due to fair wear and tear, constant abuse or tell tale signs of something bigger? Seller has stated that he has not done a rebuild of the motor so if I do go ahead with the purchase, is that what im in for? Thanks for your input and recommendations

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and this is my first post! I'm looking at buying an R32 GTR in the upcoming months and after getting feedback and recommendations from friends of mine, I'm a little confused on the matter. What sort of things should i be looking for when buying a GTR? Buying modified vs original? Im pretty new to buying cars as this will only be my second car ever purchased, the first one was with my old man! And when I do end up getting one, what kind of minor mods would be recommended once I get used to driving the car? Any recommendations and opinions would be greatly appreciated Cheers, Chris
