Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good tuner around Ballina area. Im heading up on the 14th of may for a wedding and im hoping to drop the car off at a tuner for the weekend.. Any recommendations would be good but i dont want to travel more than 2 hours or so each way since im pushed for time already. Cheers Don

Iv got a scratch on my rear bar.. apart from that nothing really.. no offense but its where you park your car.. stop parking in conjectured areas and it wont happen.. Even now ill walk 500 meters as long as i get a parallel park cause bumpers are easy to spray compared to dints in the door -
I know greenslips go up in price from police reports of theft and break snd enters.. If the car you have is most targeted in thefts the price of the greenslip will go up

You need a dealer licence number and a ABN and all 5 mayjor insurance companies give you a discount for the cars you sell.. Im a salesman for holden and mitsubishi and i just give the office girls my rego papers and they sort it out for me.. the price can change depending on your post code.. i know if we sold a car to someone in sydney its 345 each greenslip

Ppsr reports can show it if you pay extra and the RMS do it aswell.. on every e saftey check (pink slip) you have to fill out the klms and if they dont match up they make enquireys.. im a car salesman and a mechanic forgot to get the klm off the car when lodging it online so he guessed it.. unlucky for the mechanic cause the car wasnt registered for 4-5 years and the klm were 400 od klm less then when it was last registered and when it was registered at the RMS my work had to explain them selfs.. the mechanic got a warning for it

I had the same idea as you when i built my r33 and its alot more hassle than you expect. My advise would be buy one done already or take the plunge and buy something with a blown engine or one you can pick up cheap so your not waisting money when you dont have to.. Plan your build and make sure it suits you.. I wanted a 800+Hp car but its not practical in anyway but a straight line so if your chasing power its not all its hyped up to be

My advise would be get a hi flowed turbo and bolt it together with the standard manifold.. Must better turbo and no worries with detonation and options to increase boost.. You can pick a good one up for around 1k give or take a couple hundred

I think it can be done while engine is in the car but you would have to ask you mechanic doing the work to see if he can do it.. Some mechanics will others will sting you

Thought id start a thread but its been a long journey with this build and its my second time around owning this car. It started when i went to my engineer about putting a RB20DET in my old Gemini Coupe and there was a R32 GTR in his shop getting rebuilt and it just hit me... Why dont i get a 33 keep it clean and standard looking but i wanted it to be the best with all the goodies.. After doing all my home work on the right car i decided a 33 was my choice. I searched hi and low for the right one to build from scratch. Found a 33 with a blown engine and only 101,000klm on it for 4k on gumtree and threw a offer of 2k at him and basically got told to f**k off lol.. A week later got a call back saying he would accept my offer but since he was a prick i said 1500 and he politely accepted so it was on the truck the next day and at my house. I dont have any pics of it as i got it or through out the bar metal respray apart from when it was in primer as once i had it stripper to bare metal in the shed i was keen to paint it so i got to etching the car and finished at 12.30ish on a thursday night not even thinking about the 6 hour window to lay the primer down lol.. So i started priming and pulled a all nighter and back to work at 6 am for my 12 hour shift. Im the process of painting i stepped on my phone a smashed the screen and when i got it replaced they factory reset my phone loosing all my pictures.. Heres the result of the car im primer While the engine was ripped out i sourced another engine and started to rebuild it. Started with a billet crank and forged rods and pistons and the i had the mod bug. I lashed out and got splitfire coils, tomei FPR, HICAS lock bar, bosch 044 pump, jecs 880cc injectors, greedy FF plenum, all new gaskets, N1 oil pump, 3 inch exhaust, hi flow cats, FMIC, timing belt, water pump, fully rebuild head, tomei pon cams, 6 core radiator and gave it to the mechanic to start assembly. Got everything but the injectors put in assembled and back into the car running.. with in 10 minutes id found the clutch was stuffed and my turbo oil seal needed replacing so i ditched the turbo and bought a proboost T04z, Tial ext gate and Fabed a high mount manifold with as mate of mine. Now i was looking for a clutch but once again i scored a good deal and bought a rebuilt diff, GTR race spec flywheel, clutch and fully rebuild gearbox for a combo package of 3500 shipped to my mechanics shop and got it all assembled and running again to relise my suspension had seen better days.. I bought a set up upper and lower control arms, ball joints and blistein suspenision, new head and tails lights and back to assembly it went. After 9 months into the build and about 22k out of pocket my misses fell pregnant to our first child. I was determined to keep the 33 and she was happy for me to as she had a suitable family car already.. I started working 6 days a week and the 33 got neglected.. Finally i got it dynoed to make 836 HP at the rears and then i got a defect on the 3rd day.. So it sat in the shed for 9 more months untill we moved town and i needed a car for work so i sold it for a shocking price of 3800.. The guy who bought it sold the goodies and got it back on the road. Then paint was layed over the primer and the result was this After he spent another 5k or so into it i purchased it back for 8k with onlt 105,000klm on it and now iv put a hi flow on it and got it tuned to 321rwkw with 880cc injectors and a Power FC and its very street able. Hits full boost at 3300-3400 rpm and its a weapon.. Thanks for reading guys hope u enjoyed and get some encouragment and ill keep this thread updated as im still tinkering with it now.. Next mods will be a hypergear ss2 or a gtx3542r on a lowmount, tinted windows and im putting new carpet in..

Just wanting to know is there any way to remove the Rev limiter using standard ECU. Im getting a dyno tune in 2 weeks and still deciding on a ecu however if i went with a piggy back ECU can i still remove it.

1- i have no idea about lol.. sorry mate 2- still no idea 3- is suggest 600cc injectors would be suitable to handle your 17psi your after. Before getting the garrett check out some hi flowed turbos.. the one cyrrently on my car is awesome and very responsive.. Im making 321kw at the rears with 880cc and im at full boost by 3400rpm.. 24psi is about the peak performance of the turbo iv got but its more than enough in my opinion. Z32 is a must for that power.. Gap your plugs to .8 and id anvise splitfire coils if not already done. Im only running a HD clutch and for the first 1300klm i have a to4z running 830+hp and iv had no dramas at all.. yet i hope.. As for running stock internals i couldnt be sure but i fid run 22psi on stock internals for 3 or so months with out blowing it up however i wasnt to hard on it

By splitting into 2 i mean splitting in half and if your on boost at the time it can make a pretty load pop when it lets go.. -

Have you checked your piping from the turbo to airbox etc.. i know they can make a popping sound under pressure or even slipt into 2 from crappy clamps done up to tight.. Edit.. also could be a turbo exhaust wheel.. happened to a mates rx7 and he said it made a popping sound.. when he replaced it there was only 2/3rds of the turbine barely holding on -

I had a very similar problem just after rebuilding my engine and turns out it was the TPS not set properly. If you only use the first inch or so of your throttle does the problem still persist? With mine i was able to use about a inch or so of throttle and it was like i was using full throttle but anything past that inch or so it would feel underpowered and completely drop boost for a second around that 5k rpm.. You will need a multimeter to set the TPS but its pretty easy once you find a manual off google on how to set it.. Its abit fidly but i used a small screw driver to tap the sencor once i backed off the screws a quarter turn -
