  1. Gday, Im looking for an ECU for my taxi and I think my best bet is to go a RB26 Power FC. But Im unsure - and Im all threaded out (Ive read tonnes!). Here are my car specs RB20DET Standard Internals & Standard AFM HKS GT2835 48T on Highmount Manifold, HKS 50mm Ext Gate w/ 1bar spring 3" Turbo Back Exhaust GTR Intercooler GTR Coil Pack Loom + GTR Splitfire Coils GTR Intercooler I have some HKS 264 Cams and HKS cam gears ready to go in and also a set of GTR injectors. Is my best bet to get the 26 PFC instead of buying the AP engineering model? As the RB20 and RB26 have different impedence injectors, am I correct in assuming that if I install the 26 ECU I wont need to install the resistor pack? Or are the ECUs the same impedence but its simply the injectors that are different impedence? Has anyone wired up a 26 PFC to their 20 and got any tips? I will probably try and track down a wiring diagram to try and find the differences - but I know from Paulr33s faq that I need to parallel both secondary afms and o2 sensors. Thanks for the advice! JK
  2. I just got a mystery pack of HKS Cams... I was told they came out of a RB25 but I dunno if it were a S1 or S2. But I cannot identify them for the life of me. One cam says HKS RB N2 264E on it - Although I thought E stood for Exhaust but it doesnt have the CAS lobe in it. My other Cam says HKS 20 25 264A on it - and it has the CAS lobe in it. So I can figure out the duration I have no other means of identifying which model they are. By process of elimination - here is what HKS specify for RB20 and RB 25 in 264. And I think looking at the chart below that the Exhaust Cam is the only one that changed for the RB25 S2, but my cam says 20 25 so It should be safe to say its 2202-RN175 RB20 IN 264 9.0mm Lift 110 degree Part No 2202-RN174 EX 264 9.0mm Lift 115 degree Part No 2202-RN175 RB25 S1 IN - No 264 listed? EX 264 9.0mm Lift 115 degree Part No 2202-RN175 (Same as RB20). RB25 S2 IN - No 264 listed? EX 264 9.0mm Lift 115 degree Part No 2202-RN176 So it looks like I should be right assuming 9.0mm lift on my cams - but how can I be sure? Also, can anyone please point out what things I should do to my valvetrain when installing them? Thanks, Jai
  3. http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/engine...shaft_data.html JK Some RB20 cams are the same as 25 JK
  4. If you mean Slidewize then yep, good dealings with them. Brought a RB20 service kit JK
  5. Folks, Selling my beloved East Bear RB Intake Cross Pipe (white). Currently on RB20 , may suit RB25? Bolts to the timing belt cover for extra strength. Comes with one rubber join, hose clamps and timing belt cover braket. There is a little bit of paint rubbed off on the bend but nothing too major. Absolute perfect fit with slight indent to clear the fan. Chasing $150pp. Whole kit was $700 so this is very reasonable! http://www.e-aero.jp/original/pipe-kit.html http://www.sido-takushi.com/paintnpanel/Image001.jpg http://www.sido-takushi.com/paintnpanel/Image002.jpg Cheers JK
  6. From memory the notches on the CA are (in degrees) -5 0 5 10 15 20 My RB goes up to 0 5 10 15 20 25 30 One issue I had was I was setting the engine/cas to run 15 degrees which is normal - but autos require 20 degrees on standard ecu JK
  7. Is there any sort of baffling inside the catch cans? Thanks Jai
  8. I called Xtreme and they recommended heating it aswell. I will give that a go before looking at machining it. I'll have to use the gas stove top inside to do it (whilst the missus is out haha) JK
  9. I got the Chrome Moly one. Im going to ring Xtreme now to pick their brains about it JK
  10. I also noticed that the factory flywheel has some extra machining done on the inside whereas the xtreme doesnt. So it should be safe to take material off the inside of the flywheel? It should still bolt up OK and should still be "hub centric" over the crank but it wont be tight as buggery like it is now. JK
  11. I have been contemplating getting 40tho taken off from the inside of the flywheel - BUT i tried to get the factory flywheel back on today and it wont go back on either... how bizzare. My crank has grown haha JK
  12. I had hicas but put in a S13 non hicas rack. The factory powersteering lines wont mate up so i ripped them all out and got custom ones made. Because I had a hicas pump i took the back off it an ripped out the vanes so the bitch wouldnt pump out the rear stage. I bunged it up too JK
  13. Hi Guys, Im trying to install an Xtreme Lightweight flywheel on my RB20DET A31 and I cannot seem to get the flywheel on! Ive done some quick measurements and the Outside of the crank is about 36mm and the internal diametre of the flywheel is about 35.25-35.50mm - the factory flywheel is about the same as the Xtreme. Im using those caliper thingies and they definately have to extend after measuring the flywheel to fit over the crank. Am I missing something here or is the fly too small to fit over the crank? I know it should be tight but is there a trick I can use? Ive tried sitting the flywheel just over the crank and hitting a piece of wood on the flywheel to get an even fit but it wont budge. Ive also tried a little lubrication but to no avail. I had thought about installing all 6 flybolts and tightening them evenly to get it to "press over" the crank but If its not gunna go then I can see me crossthreading something and I would hate for that to happen! Thanks! JK
  14. What sorta dish are we looking at front and back? I current run 18x8.5+18 on my Cefi with Fibre guards JK
  15. What ECU are you using? JK
  16. Its not an eBay scam if you dont buy on eBay like you've already admitted on this forum. Whilst I feel sorry for you it is your own fault for breaking the eBay rules that you agreed to when signing up. JK
  17. Any respectable eBay trader wont do deals outside of eBay - and any ebay buyer wouldnt be so stupid as to deal outside of ebay to save a few bucks. He could have made a custom auction for you which would have given you buyer protection. Let this petty mistake only cost you $700 and not anymore. JK
  18. Hrms, I do have enough cash now if youre not keen on a laptop, but Im still not wanting the cams if youre willing to separate. Cheers JK
  19. The JapGenius who did the auto to manual conversion on my car mearly smashed the auto spigot in further. I have tried to press it out using the grease method but to no avail. Is there going to be any issues leaving it in but drilling it out so that I can put the manual spigot into the crank thru it? Thanks! JK
  20. Id still be willing to negotiate higher if youre interested in taking the laptop as part payment... Thanks JK
  21. Most I could possibly muster is about $700. The JapPartSpecialist website says the turbo is on hold, and I noticed you used their pics - do you have the turbo in your possession or is it still on its way? JK
