There is no way you are flaring the standard metal to fit those wheels and tyres. I rolled and flared mine when I got it painted and the most we could roll it was about 14-15mm on each side before the actual panel started to buckle further up the guard. - Crazy bolt on is the only way - or mould some on. Yeah it was a real pig all day. Im running some shithot Nexen N3000 tyres haha but theyre smooth for about an inch on the inside. But I also got a fairly avg wheel alignment which doesnt help, i think i need a bit more castor for a start. Im running about 6 deg of castor and 2.5 neg camber. JK

Any chance that you'd be willing to ship the aircon compressor to perth. Mine caught fire today Cheers Jai

Gday Lads Currently my aircon makes squeeky and grinding noises from the compressor pulley when its off but as soon as I turn the aircon on it goes away, but makes noises like its really struggling to turn the pulley. It doesnt sound smooth, i can hear metal on metal kinda noises. One thing I have noticed is that occasionally i can be stationary at a set of lights and the aircon will go hot, but at the same time the engine revs a little free-er, as if I haved turned the aircon off and then back on again quickly. It sounds like perhaps the clutch is slipping somewhat, and then it "grips" again. Does this sound correct? Also, can one swap the clutch and pulley off the front of the compressor without havingg to remove the gas etc? Thanks! JK

I had wicked induction noise on my cefi with standard turbo, standard boost and a HKS pod. I even put on a new pod and it was still too loud for them. basically i said it was complied like this and never came with an airbox so this level of noise must be acceptable. Fight it JK

Gday Oil Drain - Yes just get some decent rubber hose that is exactly the right size and use that to connect the oil drain off the turbo and to the sump. For the water line there is no need for braided line, its only low pressure water. Just get a banjo fitting that will suit the size of the turbo and the water inlet to the banjo to be about the same size as the line. I just put a HKS GT2835 on my RB20 and It couldnt have been easier JK

Gday, I just picked up a secondhand HKS highmount stainless manifold in a turbo kit and installed it last week and within a day I had blown out cylinder 1 and 6 on a standard ACL head to manifold gasket. After ripping it out I realised I only used one of the gaskets in the kit (Full header length) - not doubling up per cylinder with the individual port ones aswell. Lesson learned. I went and purchased a brand new gasket from nissan ($130!) and after putting the kit back on again 6th still leaks! I have noticed that when doing up the manifold nuts that each time i tighten one the opposite nut on that port gets loose... which makes me thing something is wrong. Is this normal behaviour? I can keep tightening until the cows come home but they only seem to come loose. Im only using brass nuts but with the factory 17yr old washers. Should I go to nissan and buy all new washers and pinch nuts? Would this help? My next thought is that perhaps my manifold header plate is warped causing this? If you look at this image you can see the header plates has slits in it between 2 and 3 and 4 and 5 to allow the headerplate to bend toward the head which should help. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...st&id=49575 Any help would be great. I lost half my weekend replacing this fkn thing and now Im back to square one! Thanks, Jai

Rb26 Apexi Pfc On Rb20 - How To Go About It?

This is the conclusion Ive also come up with now. I think upgrading to a Z32 AFM at the same time might be the way to go aswell. Thanks guys! JK -
Rb26 Apexi Pfc On Rb20 - How To Go About It?
jaik replied to jaik's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Sydneykid said this once Hi jnr32r, Power FC requires the standard impedance injectors, which on an R32 GTST RB20DET are 12-14 ohms (generally called high impedance). R32 GTR RB26DETT have low impedance injectors, around 3-5 ohms. If you use low impedance injectors then the PFC will get too much current drain and overheat. JK
