I agree with what Eug said. Its probably something to do with such a drastic change in load. Are you stupid? Why would you do that? What was wrong with leaving the car in gear? Have you heard of engine braking? Sorry its just thats a really stupid thing you did. No offence. How can you be in control of your car if it isn't running?

I get the asshole tailgating me every now and then in my 200. I just give them the old brake test.

hey mitchy, Sorry to see your pride and joy be damaged. I only have a 200sx, but it's the same sort of emotional attachment. Hope it works out for the best for you mate.

I highly recommend NOT cruising in the city. Especially the rocks.

Which Is The 3 Most Recommended Guages To Have On A Turbo Car
leb replied to fishy's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
vacuum/boost gauge - it shows if there are any "boost" leaks a/f gauge - see whether your sensors are working properly and that your car is getting the optimal fuel to air ratio at various RPMS oil pressure - only if you're doing serious work and have changed the oil pump or anything oil system related oh oh dont forget. the MONSTER TACHO BRO! with a "hectic" shift light, you really need one of those because your car doesnt already come with a tacho standard or anything.... -
I've had my car serviced at BD4's, PM me if you want my experience

I use to use ultimate on my S14, tried Synergy 8000, I get more K's out of a tank and it runs a bit smoother too.

yeah if you sell cheap things (ie. a turbo timer in relation to other apexi parts) people arent going to heavily analyse the product until theyve installed it, and by then its too late. keep a look out, another reason to not buy car related products off the net.

Realistically speaking I would get the new 130 beamer, its fast, its small, and it handles on rails

Rice Rice baby! That guy looks like he has half a brain (a large catalyst would have been the fuel running through his interior.) Why would you bother? I hope he crashes and burns that peice of shite

Hey all, On my way to exam today and was pacing myself. I hit boost and weaved through some cars (SAFELY) to suddenly notice a cop pointing a radar at me. I don't know what speed I was doing, but i get the feeling I was a little bit over by the time he would have read my speed. I wasn't pulled over or anything, does that mean I got away with it, or does it mean that I will get a ticket in the mail sometime soon? Any past experiences or knowledge would be much appreciated so I don't have this cloud hanging over my head all weekend. Kind Regards, Joel

Go the RZ, more potential, looks better than the GT-T (its missing that GT-R look)

I would perhaps look into a hyundai elantra (i think that is in your price range) My old car was a lantra and was excellent in regards to fuel economy, it had lots of room (I could fit 4 other mates with boards to the beach) and it was an extremely reliable car insurance was cheap as chips too

Hey Mario, It's good to hear that Adrej is making a steady recovery. Also, great work with GTR700's updates I was wondering…would you also be able to (at a later date when you may have the time) give specifications on Rob’s S14 200sx – DEVLISH? Cheers

Hey mate, I've probably got a different perspective on these two cars, I'd get the S15 (but a local one) If you do alot of city driving, its a shiteload better on fuel and theres barely any lag (i hit full boost at around 2,500rpm (s14) and can get nearly 500km a tank (city driving). The SR20 is cheaper to modify as its a smaller engine, and servicing can be done at nissan (where the right diagnostic machines are). These cars responde more efficiently to mods than the gts-t. Trust me take it to nissan to be serviced (One of the "jap" mechanics occasionally mentioned on this forum is shite, my car came in worser condition after it came from them (and costed me $$$$'s more than nissan) Being under 25, my insurance is stuffed (2k a year) but there is not going to be a large varience with premium pricing between the two. Hence, get an S15(local) 200sx as its a more practical car with petrol $'s these days. The insurance is going to cost you heaps either way, but one thing that might be harder is finding one thats around your threshold (23K?) thats still in a decent condition. Good luck with the buying, hope you buy a car that you're happy with

Going back to a S13 after having a R33
leb replied to scottman's topic in General Automotive Discussion
sr20's are cheaper to run. On a good day I can get 550km out of one tank (s14) Nothing wrong with the 180, it would give some skylines a run for their money. But be careful, make sure its been looked after. R33 would cost more to run in the long run (more cylinders leads to more parts being needed to be fixed) My car had the km's wound back and all sorts of shite, and I've never had a problem with it *touchwood* -

I think who ever was responsible for hitting Harold "screwballs" Scuby obviously didn't run into him hard enough. As a result, the dimwit now suffers from brain damage with these absurd monthly statements he makes. -
I dont think petrol makes a difference. Iive put, optimax, Ultimate, Synergy 8000 and i can't tell a different between them. Ive come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter which 98 octane petrol you buy, as long as its from a large commercial petrol company

would you pay a $500 deposit to test drive a car?
leb replied to [D4RKS1D3]'s topic in General Automotive Discussion
I might put a $500 deposit on a NEW car thats worth >$50k. However if its a used car than no. I would stick to the I drive you around option -
I had a mate of mine who use to have an s15 to have a look at it. He was saying it probably wouldnt be a boost leak because you'd hear it at 5000rpm if there was. its running stock boost so i doubt it would overboost or "spike" from anything. I think it might need a better airflow system (as it has stock filters and exhaust)

the scary thing is that the car in that picture is the same colour as my car :nowigetit
