Dan, The RB25DET gearbox shares the same output spline as the Z32 and Holden Commodore VL Turbo, so a yoke from either will work.

Hi Matty, the first and easiest thing to try would be the ECU itself. If you still have the standard item install it and see if you have any luck. Failing this, and without a diagnostics machine it's simply a game of elimination. A few other common items that will cause this are: Cam Angle Sensor (CAS) Ignition Module

The pressure plate of the NA Z32 and R32/33 (push type) are interchangeable. If you are after a high clamp item drop me a PM, I can offer a few to choose from.

The actual job of changing the timing belt isn't hard, however if you do misalign it you can cause some serious damage. I'm not trying to scare you from attempting however I would strongly suggest spending the extra and having it done professionally. As there isn't a direct replacement units available for R34 aftermarket, I do suggest going with a genuine Nissan item. These retail for ~$230 however we offer them to SAU members for $194.70 + postage. For the R32/33 there is a direct replacement NTK item available, we offer them for $77 + postage. Both of these units, and other applications, can be found here.

It depends on what you're going to be doing with the car, what works best for a 1/4 mile may not have the response, or revability, you would desire on the track/street. I personally would stick with the stock bore and stroke, they love the revs and with the correct turbo selection, and tuning, you can make very usable power.
