I installed a full set of R32 GTR seats into my A31 with no problems at all, the retaining clips for the bottom half, in the floor pan, are identical and the top half hooks and bolt holes line up. The R32 sedan is identical The only problem was that the GTR seats were narrower (left to right) however only by about 10mm each side; once the seat belts are retracted you can't even tell.

If it's only surface rust bolt them on and let the pads clean them off; if it's any worse get them machined.

There are many advantages for using a chipped standard ECU over a complete aftermarket ECU. For starters, you already have the expensive pieces of hardware; the wiring loom and engine management system itself. They may not have the real-time tuning functionality of an aftermarket item; however for the fraction of the price you really cannot beat them. I have used Sam (Dr. Drift) several times and have to say I am nothing but impressed.

I personally don't see any benefit from removing your coil pack cover. The rear of the timing cover is actually vented to force, coolish, air through the valley. Therefore you are essentially removing the cooling channel. Also removing the cover just places the coil packs in general under bonnet conditions, including exposure to dust, moisture etc and leaves the ignitor without a mount. Which as R33S2 has already stated is a good way to kill it. If you bonnet is vented, and you securely mount the ignito, then they may be some merit however you then add direct exposure to water into the equation.

The easiest, and best, upgrade is to a Z32 item.

A customer of mine has just upgraded to a Motec system and his Power FC is therefore on the market. It is tuned for a pair of HKS GT2530 @ 1.3 bar; the vehicle was making 355kW @ all 4 wheels. The unit has only seen ~3000kms on the road. He is after $820 for it delivered. The vehicle is running a pair of Nismo Air Mass Meters (AMM) which are also for sale, $650 the pair. The tuner of this ECU is extremely credited and was a tuner within the possum borne rally team.

Hi Matt, The commander you require is the 415-N001, same as the R34 GT-t and several Subaru units. I hope that helps.

It might cost a little more, however you can't go wrong with an R32 GTR speedo drive unit. Just remove the electic R33 item, install the GTR item and away you drive with a working speedo.
