Pics would help here.

Coil packs are different between S1 and S2. The latter has built-in igniters. Which one have you got? S1/S2 CAS are also different, but unsure of interchangeability.

Strange scenario. Please be safe wherever you're working. The hassle of moving it is likely worth it but I've said that already. As for lines, there's a coolant feed and return. My bet is if it was "easy" you've only got the bolt closest to the strut. You need to get the other on the block side of the turbo. No one has ever called that bolt "easy", especially from the top.

Need a advise guys on fuel economy skyline r33
inmaniac replied to Bob Virk's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Have you covered all of the advice given in your other thread here? Oh, and here? Stop spamming and address the advice already given to you Bob. No use asking if you're not going to take the advice given to you. O2 sensor is a BASIC one suggested by multiple people. There's multiple stages to diagnosing your problems, you need to attack via a process of elimination. If not, take it to a pro. -
I've done this job twice (and there are many here who have done it many more times than that lol). I can tell you it is much easier to bring the turbo up out of the engine with the dump attached, disconnecting from the cat or w/e your next flange down from the dump is. If you want to go your route, yes it can be done, I've taken the dump off with a socket set and ratchet spanners. The difficult parts will be the oil drain and and the banjo bolt closest to the block (the big fker 24mm) Note: The only reason I can think of to not jack up the car is that you are either a) Inexperienced with doing that or (more likely) b) you don't have the equipment - in either scenario you probably shouldn't be attacking this job. Jack the car up. 10x easier.

Lol. No. OP, get a boost gauge and a manual boost controller (bleed valve). Set to 11psi (max) and go have fun. Set and forget until you have the coin to go bigger and better. That's essentially what everyone is saying.
-
A battery wouldn't contribute to this. Alternator and related system might though, but I doubt it.

If there's any doubt, just go buy new. But as I said, you won't need injectors for <200rwkw I used a Nistune, but in reality you don't need any ECU upgrade for that power level. I used a GFB G-Force II EBC, but you can use a bleed valve if you really wanted to. For that power level, your current mods and then upping boost to 11psi should do the trick. For 200+, as above.
-
I got 187rwkw @ 11psi on an average tune with FMIC and exhaust. Stock S2 turbo. For what you're chasing, on a budget: High flow turbo ($1100) Walbro 460 pump, with allowance for relay mod and bits ($250) Z32 AFM ($300) RB20 ECU, Nistune and Dyno ($1300) This assumes you wouldn't get the EMS or injectors, and the prices I listed are on the high side. This combo is sub-$3k is good for 220-240rwkw and gives you everything you need to shoot for more power with the addition of a good set of injectors, maybe a flex sensor and board. What injectors are you considering? I had lots of trouble with injectors, make sure you do it right!
-
Hey mate, welcome. The RB20 doesn't have a lot of torque, especially considering you likely come from a background of V8s, but it's a nice little motor with tuning. I've seen them make plenty of power with just some bolt-ons, 350HP at the wheels is easily achievable with the right gear and fuel. Let us know what path you go down and throw up some pics!

Betting this is where it's going wrong.

This is bad and unsafe. As someone else mentioned, should probably get a pro. In case of an accident you don't want pumps running, which they will be if getting trigger from IGN/ACC.

New clutch for my R33 Gtst

Yeah sorry I wasn't clear - I meant NPC clutches. Looked at their site but no prices listed. -
New clutch for my R33 Gtst
inmaniac replied to HCD_Velcra's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Are there list prices anywhere or do you just call them direct? -
This is also my understanding. It's always a gamble modifying cars, the point of the airbox really is just to show that I've at least made an effort to conform to the rules, not be outlandish or brazenly break the law. Would take a real asshole of a cop to ping me for it, but yeah as I said, that's the gamble right.

RB25DET Greddy Copy Front Facing plenum pipe work
inmaniac replied to Chargrin's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
The appropriate response to your post is, why are you installing a forward facing plenum on a stock car? There are plenty of cars running in excess of 300rwkw with a standard manifold. This exercise is pointless and a lot of work for basically no gain? Edit: credit for the detailed and well-worded post.- 6 replies

Time for another update. I set about installing a 42mm ASI ebay special radiator in preparation for my first track day with the car coming up Sep 18th. It was definitely a tight squeeze whilst keeping the stock shroud, no wonder I was advised not to go over 42mm. It was a little annoying just because of the squeeze, and I had to take the clutch fan off, then lower in back into position along with the shroud simultaneously. Much easier if you know how to juggle. I also installed my Dorifto Numba Wun catch can and finally made my pod filter legal (ish?) with a very hacked together air box. Don't judge lol. All in all I think the engine bay looks stock-ish which is what I want. Uploaded an old pic for comparison.

Good luck with sale bud - looks like a frickin sweet ride. I'd be super keen if I didn't waste a stupid amount of money on an R33 >.<

Completely subjective. Is a Nismo badge a Nismo part? Thus does a badge justify a badge? I think it's lame if you have zero Nismo parts, but beyond that, meh. Really it's each to their own.

New pump likely not getting enough juice. Especially common if you got a Walbro pump but applies to most. Search "Fuel Pump Relay Mod" - do the mod, see how you go.
-
When you upgraded the pump did you hard wire it with a relay to feed it power straight from the battery? If not do this. What coil packs have you used?
-
Well why don't you list what you've done so we can help identify what could be left??
