  6. OK pps I'm interested in anyone that has a RB26 short motor for sale will pay fair price for the right set up - can look at any build spec. would prefer fully rebuilt with forged internals - but also open to suggestions want to drop straight into my R32 GTR talk to me !!!

  8. wife filled car from budget provider - did not tell me until I asked !!! I had the engine done over 3 years ago no (don't drive it much) - has not missed a beat - until now Annyyywaaayyy any advice on what to do ? I'm very tempted to just replace the bigends and leave it at that - comments ?
  9. already @ workshop combination of heat and bad fuel thermo fan popped a fuse while I was in bumper to bumper traffic - and I was not running PULP !!!

OK pps seems the weapon has developed a rattle coming from pot number 4/5 My mechanic is telling me it's the big ends The engine is still quite new - only 20,000klms since full rebuild - so what should I do just replace the big ends (rechecking the crank) - or should a more complete build be considered ? Also - pointers on what bearings to use this time around - I used Race Pace last time I think ??

Guys I'm in need of new pads and rotors for all four corners of my R32 GTR the front rotors are down to the 30mm limit I'm told and the rears are not too much better So What should I be looking at (DBAs) for the rotors What pads should I run for daily driver use Where is the best (cheapest) place to get this stuff (have not checked the GB section yet ) TYIA Scott

    I'm looking at swapping to CF bonnet - so have a GMG GTR bonnet in good shape (1 minor scratch) has bonnet pin holes already drilled
  14. Agree with everyone else here - I have an R32 GTR with similar mods seeing 280awkw @ 18psi have not seen any mention of mods to fuel - fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator ? what's a std pump and fuel mixture going to deliver ?
  15. any idea on the offset for these rims ? anyone - are they suitable for R32 GTR ?
  16. Hey GTRIIN, OK - I'll post a serious answer for you - I hope The HICAS is the four wheel steer - and as far as I know - if the light is on, your 4WS will be off line. If you have a non-std steering wheel, without a proper 4WS boss kit (which has a 4WS sensor in it apparently) - that will cause this problem. I thought this only happened after exceeding 80klms / hr (which is when the HICAS actually starts to work). So if it's on ALL THE TIME - this may not be your problem. If you are low on steering fluids - this will cause the HICAS light to come on. If your light is on all the time - this seems like a good place to start. Lastly, this seems to be a common problem with the older GTRs (I have an '89 R32 GTR BTW). HICAS seems to be more trouble than it's worth. Long term you may want to look at a getting a HICAS locking kit installed, and then just pull the HICAS bulb from behind the dash. my 2c worth

  18. OK pps I have an R32 GTR - with near new excedy h/d clutch kit installed. It's been installed for about 5-6000 klms or so and it's been fine. BUT In the last week or so - I've been getting in intermittent hissing noise from inside the car ?? At first I thought it was coming from the air con – but even when it's off – I can still get the hissing I've done some investigation - and I think it's coming from the clutch (peddle) stop that laughing – I don't do drugs (any more ) Form time to time (maybe once per day) - I can feel the clutch peddle go slightly heavy and then when I press the peddle I get a hissing sound coming from the foot well. I can not hear it from outside the car (not a bearing) - and it's sounds like a air / vacuum leak coming from somewhere under the dash. When it's doing it, I can literally just touch the peddle on and off (not actually engaging the clutch) and I will hear the noise. It will also keep hissing all the way through the travel of the peddle (all the way in and out) - told you it was not a bearing then it just stops – and the peddle feel returns to normal talk to me - am I hearing things ?
  19. As the title says I'm about to get my R32 GTR resprayed - and I'd like to swap out my std bonnet for a CF (vented) unit I like the look of the UAS bonnets - but figured I'd check to see if anyone has one they do not want/need any more localed in Sunny (dry) Brisbane

  22. Hmmm the std GTR gauge reads in mm of mercury (no idea why?) my understanding is that if you hit the 7, that's about 1 bar = ~15psi by the look of this you are a little under that (~12psi) - is that what you get with the restrictor removed ? std boost on a GTR is about 7-9 psi - right ?
