  1. Hey BOOSTD I have a similar setup - I'm using R34 N1 turbos instead of the 2530s I'm still running in after the rebuild I have used dump pipes - and am expecting a comfortable 300+rwkw once tuned

All I have just finished a FULL rebuild of my RB26 which includes forged bottom end with N1 bearings minor port and polish metal head gasket N1 Oil + Water pumps R34 N1 turbos new split dump pipes + full exhaust I'm still running in - but from time to time I get stall condition when backing off (throttle lift off) I notice it most when I'm slowing for a set of lights after running at boost. I've just read an Zoom (issue #52 page 78) that talks about reversion. This is when air is forced from the turbos back past the AFMs causing the AFM to loose the plot. This results in poor idle and/or a stall. Better BOVs does not help apparently 1: What causes this - my setup is still fairly mild (only running 8psi while running in). It was not doing this B4 the rebuild and I was running WAY more boos1 (15psi) 2: How do I fix this (without the HKS EDIS Pro) - I have a PFC on the way - will that help ? Anyone ???

All I have just completed a full rebuild of my R32 GTR (STILL running in) I've just ordered a PFC + 550cc injectors + CAM wheels to 'finish' things off - but I was just wondering how much HP will the std GTR fuel pump flow Will it provide enough for 300rwkw Will it flow enough for the 550cc injectors (HKS) What should I be upgrading to (if required)
  5. guys I think I'm up for a rebuild of my current box - clips and crunches one 1st and 2nd figgured I look into a 6 speed (any) - $6K is OK - $15K is NOT !!

  11. All I am looking for a set of CHEAP coil overs for my R32 GTR 1st option is to buy 2nd hand reconditioned HKS. They have just been rebuilt by the guys from Sock Absorber Reconditioning @ Slacks Creek here in Brisbane – but I have herd mixed reports about the 'quality' of their work – comments 2nd option is to look at something like the HD Systems coil overs from Unique Auto Sports – anyone used these fro street use only – what are they like PLEASE 3rd option is to go for something like kings over koni – but I will not have adjustable ride height any advice welcome

OK I'm no expert - but as far as I know they are steel wheeled, but NOT BB (someone correct me if I'm wrong) They are rated @ 300ps each - and I think they should be good for at least 18psi (maybe 20 with a good FMIC) I was getting a lazy 210awka on my GTR with std everything running 14psi boost (pots 4 and 6 where shot tho). They give good boost early and hold on strong across the full rev range (I have the output of a power run somewhere if you're keen) They should be good for at least 250-280awkw (good street turbo) with the right mods. Again someone correct me if I'm wrong. In terms of price - I agree with OoHArrGTR - $1500+ sounds like a bargain to me. I paid almost $3K for my R34 N1s - and when you see the pics (if you give me your email) you can see these turbos are in VGC - I can't get ANY shaft plat at all !! I cleaned them up this afternoon and the look great. Having said all that – I'm open to offers at this point
  19. Well - it turns out my R32 was running R32 N1 turbos already – I've just ?upgrade? to R34 N1's. It's a long story but I already had the R34 N1s when my engine died, and I honestly had NO idea my orginal turbos where N1 too. Soooo I now have a pair of R32 Nismo N1s for sale P/N : 14411-06U00 Comp A/R : .60 Ex A/R : .64 both in VGC (done about 47000klms) no shaft play etc - where running fine when my bottom end gave way I have NO idea how much these things are worth - but I'm watching an eBay listing for a similar pair (.48 Ex housing tho) that is currently selling for ~1400 ish talk to my ppl - I don't want/need these anymore - and I'm open offers I 'spose I'd like some input on their value too pls will clean them up this afternoon and post some pics for anyone interested

  21. if HSV is such an engineering masterpiece - why did they tell me they needed to rebuild my engine @ 22,000 klms ( VXII clubsport ), only after I reported piston rattle !!! they don't fix it unless you find it (sucks) I paid $60K for that ? sold it and now have an R32 GTR – there is NO comparison - I will NEVER go back !!! If I spend $60K (total) on my R32 - how quick will it be - I'm more than happy to compare NEW with OLD

  23. All I have a pair of std turbos with std dumps off my R32 GTR (just upgraded to N1s). Pair have about 47000k on them - and were working fine when I removed them. They look to be in VGC with no shaft play etc. I'm looking for about $550 for the pair (or am I DREAMING) will list on eBay if no interest here will get pics tonight for those that are interested.
