  4. yep new earth for the ignitor pack fixes it for me
  5. Hi I'm interested in the larger skirts - but I'm in Brissy - let me know if you will ship
  6. All can someone PLS recommend a workshop in Brisbane that can fix the air cond in my R32 GTR I have the age old problem where it works fine MOST of the time (only when set to 18 degrees) – but it will occasionally loose the plot at start heating Heading into another summer – I do not want to have to deal with this any more
  7. I have 25mm bolt on spacers on my R32 GTR - and this is was my understating is on a couple of the issues you have raised As far as I know the law in QLD states that it is illegal to alter the overall track (width) of a vehicle by more than 25mm when fitting non-oem wheels. This applies to ALL wheels with or without spacers. Any decent mag wheel shop should be able to tell you this. So, if the mags you fit do not have the same offset as the original Nissan wheels that came with your car, and the spacers return the overall track to within 25mm of original - they should be fine. I've had a 911 in my past that had spacers fitted in the factory ??? I've also had problems with a steering shudder at around 100kmls - but I swapped my spacers around and the problem went away. I agree, in that it's the spacer that is not balanced (buy better spacers ) I also know that fitting spacers alters the geometry of the steering – which can put additional stress on the front end - my upper control arms failed almost straight away for example. I also get quite bad 'tram-lining' on some roads – like the freeway (car seems to follow the ruts in the road). I've been told this is also due to the spacers (SK told me this – so it MUST be true ) just my 2c worth – all opinion – little fact
  8. Also my O2 feedback is already OFF
  9. I installed a new engine cover (the bit in the middle that covers the coil packs) - this allowed me to move the ignitor pack back up on top of the engine cover. I took that opportunity to make sure I had a good earth when I moved it (which I assume the guys from Mercury have not) Prior to having the engine cover on - the coils and the ignitor pack shared the same earth - and I was just using one of the screw holes that holds the coil pack (plug) leads in place I plan to make a dedicated earth strap over to the -ve battery terminal over the weekend - so I will let you know how that goes. Any idea how I would check my Ignition/dwell/RPM settings – can I check this with just the HC - I do not have any 'special tools' I do run Splitfire coils BTW
  10. Well - funny you should ask The car had been running fine - with NO missfire at all for the past couple of weeks BUT I had the guys at Mercury Motor sport do some work on the car early last week - and they removed the ignitor pack (to check the temp of my plugs) and when they put it back I suspect that they move the earth wire again the up shot is that my missfire is now BACK !!! I'll have a look at this again over the coming weekend and let you know if I fix it again
  11. thanks guys I'll probably just buy the new one
  12. Guys I'm after someone to re-tune my Apexi equiped R32 GTR in Brisbane I've made a number of minor tweaks over the past 12 months - and just want to have it checked out It's running a little rich for example who does this BEST
  13. well guys my center air vent has finally given up - and fallen out I'm in need of another one anyone have one around ?
  14. Well guys I think I have mode some progress here I have moved the earth lead that comes off the ignitor pack. I installed a grounding kit I replaced my +ve and -ve battery terminals (with better quality units) I did all this on Saturday (3 days ago) and so far - no more missfire will let you know if it comes back
  15. Hey Mark I'll take 'em what's your prefered payment method (PayPal ?)
  16. as the title says - I'm after a pair of AFMs for my R32 GTR I'm looking for the std AFMs - but would consider a matched pair of suitable RB25 or Z32s too (with pulgs), as the car will need a full retune anyway
  17. good point - I obviously do not have a run showing mixtures at cruising speeds. I can't say I noticed an issue with smoke or fuel consumption before de-meshing, or even immediately afterwards. But I do have a problem now !! At this point I'm simply searching for some root cause, and that is the main thing I have changed since the tune. I've also added spiltfire coil packs - and that's about it I think It's been about 10,000K since it was on a dyno for a full tune – is that too long ? talk to me about the 02 sensors – where are they – are they easy to replace – how much do they cost and where can I get 'em
  18. Managementy is Apexi PFC - how would I check O2 sensors - where are they ?
