  1. Hey - interested in the n1 gtr side skirts can u post pics or email to [email protected] pls if they r in good shape - I'll take em for $200 delivered to Brisbane
  2. thanks guys they do look a little 'glazed' to me - should I consider a plug change ?
  3. Guys I have an R32 GTR with a freshly rebuilt engine (10,000klms ago) (Weisco + N1 bottom end) I'm running 1.2 bar with R34 N1s + PFC + EBC + Splitfires, Tomei fuel pump and SX fuel reg yadda yadda yadda I've just pulled my plugs out for a check and clean and they look like this (OMG) They seem VERY fouled to me - yes ? Sorry for the fuzzy images – but as you can see, they a visibly wet with fuel/oil !!!!! What's the story - too much fuel ? I've also noticed that I get clouds of white smoke when I accelerate (come on boost ?) in the past month or so. I'm not using oil or water, and I'm not running hot (80 degrees going by the PFC), and I'm still making good power. Talk to me peeps - should I be back off to a dyno somewhere for a re-tune (the first guy to mention leek down test gets to pay for it ) ? Also - what's the best way to clean these guys - should a wire brush be involved ?
  4. Hey I need the driver side window - any chace you still have that ?
  5. do the elbows on the rocker covers have PCV valves ? this would mean that I'd need to get vacuum from the plenum too - yes ?
  6. OK peeps I've come up with 3 options for installing / plumbing my new oil catch can (separator) into my R32 GTR. There may be other ways – and I'm still open to suggestions. The first image is how things look now. I have the breathers off the rocker boxes joined, with one side plumbed off to the plenum side and the other side plumed off into one of the turbo side AFM pipes. Option 1: I leave the rocker box breathers joined, block off the plenum side, use a t-peace to join the secondary breathers into one side of the catch can, and then return back to the turbo side. This is still a closed system, and I assume it uses the vacuum pressure generated by the turbos to suck air/oil from the rocker boxes (through the can) and back into the engine. Option 2: is very similar to option 1, only without the t-peace – and I rely on the standard join in the breathers to deliver the gas/oil from the left hand rocker cover over to the catch can Option 3: I modify the catch can (or get another one) to vent to atmosphere, block off both the plenum and the turbo side and simply plumb the rocker breathers into the catch can. This is no longer a closed system, and I've herd stories of guys blowing the filter off their catch can, and ending up with oil residue all over the engine bay (oil fire !!). I can't see how this setup would manage to FORCE any of the oil/air mixture thru the can - but it seems to be a popular way of installing one of these. Also - will blocking off the plenum / turbo breathers have an impact on tune (mixtures) etc Talk to me guys – what is the best / safest way to do this I plan to use braided lines throughout – and I will take pics along the way – so I can share this with anyone else wanting to do the same
  7. try eBay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FLYING-UNIVERSAL-RI...1QQcmdZViewItem
  8. All I have just purchased a set of white line springs for my R32 GTR - and I will be fitting them soon (next week or so), and I have not decided what to do with the old springs yet. 1: anyone interested in a set of std R32 GTR springs. They are std height, with about 60,000klms on them. Still work fine – but they are the STANDARD height 2: any idea how much these things are worth ? 3: do they fit the R32 GTST - and if so are they any better than the std GTST springs ? talk to me - should I sell them - or hide them in my shed somewhere
  9. where are you what condition are they in mine are split with most of the clips brocken if they are in good shap - I'll take them off your hands
  10. Guys and Gals I'm looking for the rear trim that goes around the rear quarter window for my R32 GTR I'm looking for BOTH sides pls anyone know if the GTST is the same ? anyone wrecking a GTR/GTST in Brisbane ? will pay CASH CASH CASH don't care what colour - 'cause I'll probably be getting them re-trimmed anyway
  11. and the plumb back to the turbo inlet ? also - should I block off the pipe that goes to the plenum ?
  12. OK I've just spent that last 15mins searching for what I need - but have come up empty (or with conflicting info) I have just picked up a 'drift' style catch can for my R32 GTR and I need some pointers on how to install it It does not have a filter that bleeds to atmo - so I assume I need to plumb everything back into the intake system My current thinking is to join the two breathers that come off the top of the rocker covers and plum that into the catch can. Then plum from the can back into either the plenum and/or the turbo intake talk to my guys - HOW SHOULD this be done !!
  13. Hey Ryan I also have an R32 with similar mods - if you look in the dyno results thread you should see exactly what I have I run my R34 N1s @ 1.2 bar (18psi) and see a solid 401hp @ the treads I use a std PFC with the Apexi EBC - and it works fine. I do get some fluctuation - but I don't think it's as much as you are seeing (shrugs) I currently still have the std injectors - and I know that once I swap them out for larger units, I should see even more power (my current tune is limited by the 100% duty cycle warning I keep getting from the PFC ) HtH Scott
  14. your inbox is FULL ?
  15. done ! check your PM
  16. OK - I'm keen - how much to get it to Brisbane ?
  17. OK - I kind of have this problem too – but not as bad I have an R32 GTR with Weisco forged pistons - and my knock reading creeps up to the high 50s from time to time. I have also seen bursts up into the 70s but only if I'm using bad fuel. I have had my engine checked by 3 different tuners - all using head phones to listen for knock - and they all confirm that my engine is NOT knocking Under the settings menu on your PFC you add advance / retard timing and increase the injector duty cycle across the entire rev range – or 'globally' I tried taking timing out in steps. I stepped up from -2 / -4 / -8 degrees - and it made no difference to the readings. I then added more fuel 'globally' - still no difference I then did some tweaking to both at the same time – still got the same readings (shrugs) So - I figure I either have a dodgy knock sensor - or just a noisy engine or possibly both
  18. Nissan Aus should have these - and they would have to be $2k each
  19. do u have a PFC ?
  20. All I'm considering fitting up a pair of RB25 AFMs into my R32 GTR (PFC equiped) My std GTR AFMs are 65mm with 5 pin plugs - right ? The RB25 AFMs are 80mm with 4 pin plugs - right ? 1: how difficult is it to swap the plugs 2: whould I be better off looking for RB20 AFMs - which are already 5 pin plugs too I know I'll need a re-tune of the PFC eaither way - right ? should I be looking at Nismo / Z32s instead ?
  21. my advice is to talk to the guys at ARE here in Qld - a phone call is CHEAP They may have done the tests you are looking for They will be able to tell you why not all coolers are created equal even if you don't buy one of their coolers - I've had a couple of 30 mins calls with them - they are VERY helpful NO I do not own the company NO I do not work there either again - my 2c worth
  22. well - give me some idea how to do this - and I'll do it will it require a trip to Jaycar
