  1. Petrol combustion engines might become a thing of the past, light steam loco's, but not for a while yet.But so long as it's reasonably quick and handles well my next vehicle can run on the power of shattered dreams for all I care. Technology will move on, but there will still be "fast", and the beauty of electric motors? Maximum torque from 0 RPM.
  2. Was work for me too, blasted test plans , there are few things more boring.
  3. Is the word also that you're the new head of Willall Marketing and PR? Now go to sleep.
  4. AFAIK it's not a great idea to be collecting money then. Esp. for tax reasons.
  5. If we have a bank account, I take it SAU SA is registered as not-for-profit organisation too?
  6. Nice stuff, can't wait to see it in the flesh, and this might just re-capture my bosses in interest. I think he's starting to give up, he test drove an Evo X the other day - must...fight...the dark...side!
  7. Well I was at a 1st Birthday party with one recently and AKAIK no-one from the hire company was supervising. They were bloody well hidden if they were.Oh and the GF and I *might* make an appearance. I'll keep an eye on the thread.
  8. Have to had a look around the piping? Something mightn't be obviously hanging off, but split or loose... Esp. look at the large inlet hose between the the AFM and turbo where the BOV plumbs back.
  9. Cept that'll clear the ECU before he's got the codes out of of it. I6: Search the forum on how to read them - all you need is a screwdriver and the ability to count to 3.
  10. My R32 is only running ~150RWKW, when my clutch died a little while I had it replaced with one for a GQ Patrol, IIRC it only cost ~$400 installed.
  11. Before you got resetting to ECU get the error codes out of it. Definitely sounds like the car dropped in to limp-home mode for some reason. It could be as simple as a dodgy sensor wire connection.
  12. I'll register interest, depends if I end up visiting my folks in Melb over Christmas or not, but would be good fun...
  13. Must admit I've never used them, but these guys have the absolute best name in towing, click the link you wont be disappointed. http://www.yellowpages.com.au/onlineSoluti...b590e&st=bn In all seriousness I've used dial-a-tow (make sure you let them know if it's lowered so you get the truck) and Full-on and not had any problems with either.
  14. I'll see what we can arrange.
  15. It was literally sick, just had to get new CV's put on it, joy.Oh and my car, after the third delay and being assured this morning it'd be ready today, is now delayed again coz the power steering pump is shot. Another couple of days so maybe Friday, but I might make other arrangements so I can drink. Missus hasn't finished her lessons in a manual yet. Still got it, but since i fell off it stone cold sober I'd rather not have a brew and ride, well since I still haven't got my lazy arse off L's I can't anyways. I'll definitely be going there straight from work drinks (horay for the beer fridge), which is 10 min walk away, so you'll at least have my wondrous company.
  16. Engine start, tach, etc. you should all be able to nut out from an ECU pinout (I'm sure there's one on here somewhere).
  17. To be legal, the hole has to have a re-enforcing plate welded over top (gotta put a hole in that too obviously), and then engineered. If I had my time again I'd get one than plumbs back in through the stock location.
  18. FYI he's selling that engine here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Rb...lb-t225700.html
  19. If this doesn't cover the task sufficiently I give-up http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/EC...198-t35733.html
  20. Checked the error codes yet?
  21. And that'll clear the error codes take reading of them first. It's not hard.
  22. Have you checked the ECU error codes (search for how to do it if you haven't)?
