So who's going this year?
Last year was a blur!
-
I still have mine available. I'm heading up to SA after new years. Interested?
How is it the rest of SAU know you're coming over here before I do mate?
I thought we were friends!
-
Should have added an "Any of the above" option for all of them, as I'm only really fussed about the date...
Hell yeah, you know I'm there, shame I can't be as lecherous this year now I have missus, unless... hahaha!ah crap nice call .... yes I definitely won't be missing Schitzenfaced! We should do an SAU meet-up again this year (the last 2 years have been awesome) - I might make a new post!Make that post as a lot of people will disappear over xmas / new year and it'll end up organised in a rush if you wait til afterwards.

Given your budget & intended use for the car a mildly modified WRX would be more than adequate; or a GTS-4 with nitrous ...just don't be blowing the welds off the intake
Also, as the joke goes whats the difference between a 300kw Supra & a 600kw one??...Nothing they're still both 11sec cars
Nigel from ICE (in Melbourne) always tuned his Supra (orange one with black bonnet) to/from about those figures, one for the dyno pull, the other for the track as from what i understand it made little or no difference to his times.

You can view all the flavours of Supra (not to mention almost any other JDM vehicle) here:
http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/toyota/supra/
IMHO they're a great car in a straight line, not so great in the bends, and you can't fault the 2JZGTE, beauty of an engine.
Makes you wonder why the RB26DETT never got variable valve timing when you look at those torque figures.
450 Nm @ 3600 RPM vs. 390 Nm @ 4400 RPM
There's more than just 400cc extra displacement at play there.

Yeah mate it was me... should change your password once in a while.
Wish i could of got time off work and hassled you for a ride again at DECA. Felt this'd be the next best thing to participating.

I'd sleep in my car if it's only a couple of nights.

Other than the V-Spec and V-Spec II I *think* the only major difference with the '93 GTRs was the addition of side-impact bars as standard but they have to be fitted for local compliance regardless.
-
Certainly can get them for that price, the market's flooded atm, but it wont be one in great condition or with a verifiable history.
Make sure you have a few $K in the war chest for "Justin".
As for verifying it's genuine, i haven't heard of any fakes per se, but grab the VIN and ask someone to run it thru FAST which is a Nissan piece of software. Many members have a copy and there's a consolidated thread for such requests around here somewhere.

V-Power = Optimax
Just a re-brand AFAIK

Saw a black R34 giving it some crossing greenhill rd this morning around 8:30

Thanks for the link Ash, works pretty well. Should have some up tomorrow, I'm going to bed now
The auto stitching thing i have doesn't like cars, especially when they are a similar shape, I ended up with a car that was half grey, half yellow!
Yeah, I've been playing with that app since i posted the link, and it's an impressive piece of kit but falls over if you throw too much at it esp. in full res mode. Needs plenty of memory too.
Edit: In fact here's a low res panorama constructed from the images posted thus far.

I've got a heep of picks to, just need someone to stitch them together, any volenteers???? I'll post some of the single ones tomorrow night as i won't get a chance today;)
PM me if you can stich the photos for me and i'll email them to you.
Thanks
Give this app a burl yourself, supposed to be pretty good...

just thought id mention what id learnt the other day off my uncle while changing my brake pads, to push the pistons back in you could use a G-clamp, which makes it much easier
Mate did that with the rears on his 180SX but they were the screw in type and broke the clamp!

i'll come and say hello and what not but dont finish work till bout 1pm. having said that, when does it die down?
I wont be making it to the arvo, if I make it at all, either.

Unless you plan to wrap your turbo in leather?
-
The new Volvo's are bloody nice too, and they love their turbos, those crazy Swedes!
-
Nice work with organising it all
And those prices are certainly reasonable.

I can't believe how dirt cheap Aristos are atm.
