  1. I'm guessing 4Door is refering to public transport, so was that a deliberate pun Vange, i.e. "fare" vs. "fair"?
  2. You shouldn't need a completely stock exhaust system, just one that has a Cat, and isn't too loud. I'd just get a cat put in, and a small muffler on the rear, I've got two interchangable rear mufflers for my car. Most people on here can vouch just how loud my LOUD muffler is, but with the quieter one on it's more than legal.
  3. Got one on the way from a bloke in Sydney for $130.
  4. If you need some to tide you over you're welcome to use my spares. You've got my number so feel free to give me a buzz.

  14. Taken from http://www.overclockers.com.au/drive/ Ban on VTEC powered cars for P-platers P-plate drivers will be banned from driving VTEC powered cars from next year in a NSW government crackdown on young drivers. The ban, to be imposed in early 2007, will prevent P1 licence holders from driving high-performance vehicles such as the S2000, Integra and Civic after a number of accidents involving VTEC kicking in unexpectedly. The VTEC in Honda's vehicles results in a sudden, massive increase in power once a certain RPM threshold is reached. While experienced drivers are able to take advantage of this, known as it being "VTEC Time, dawg"; novice drivers were unable to handle the effects of VTEC kicking in, yo. The ban would restrict young drivers from getting behind the wheel of popular models like the Accord Euro and Jazz. After hundreds of pictures of accidents resulting from the kicking in of VTEC in Honda vehicles, the government decided that after independing testing was conducted the cars must be banned. "I believe there is sufficient evidence to take a decision on this matter now," Mr Scully said in a statement. "I have asked the RTA (Roads and Traffic Authority) to begin work on the necessary arrangements so the changes can be introduced in the first half of next year." The changes, two of 11 proposals for young drivers made by the state government recently, would require major changes to licence registration processes and computer systems. Exemptions will apply for family and work responsibilities and cases of "hardship", the minister said. Community consultation on the other nine proposals would continue until February 28, 2007. AAP
  15. I'll take that as a: "Sorry Ash, can't help you there." But, fortunately for you, I can help with Fairlady info. http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/nissan/fairlady/ <-- Site seems to be down atm but it'll pop back up.
  16. Just Jap: I'm curious to know what it's like to drive with the 8spd and how performance compares to a R33/R34. Cheers.
  17. Hey, I've had a friend ask if there was something called a Nissan "Lady Killer", I've plumbed the usual depths but to no avail, my only lead is it's *possibly* a nickname for an old school Fairlady. Given that this is the "Classic" area I was wondering if anyone in here had come across the term before? Cheers, - Ash.
