  1. I've been on a hal dozen or so and the worst we had was a motorbike copper turn around and follow us to Norton Summit, have a couple of words with 2-3 of the guys, mainly about crossing white lines etc. then leave us alone.
  2. The Night cruises certainly aren't for the faint hearted.
  3. Roy in Vic runs a TD05 I believe (maybe even an 06).
  4. There's a thread here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...topic=61780&hl=
  5. I liked the idea of front electric motors, given that GT-R's have always been rear biased anyways, so the 'lectrics can kick in when needed. That'd save weight in transfer cases and shafts etc but you'd probably more than gain it back in the motors and batteries. *sigh*
  6. The power will be at the fly not wheels. No exhaust is that good!

A bit like that Ferrari in your sig.
  8. It's a G35 mule for testing, more info here. http://www.caranddriver.com/carnews/11023/...yline-gt-r.html
  9. Regarding the V35 GT-R, it's interesting to see Cosworth are helping with engine, and Lotus with susp. Kinda sad really, shows they obviously lost some talented engineers during the troubled late 90's / early 00's. And the questions over 4WD too, i understand why it may not be strictly necessary, but is it GT-R if RWD?
  10. It's a maybe for me.
  11. Spotted a silver R32 GTR, P Plates, with 3-4 young blokes on board at Mt Lofty Summit car park on Sunday.
  12. Got one... ...shouldn't be long til I'm back on the road.
  13. Just been looking at my broken box at the mechanics less than an hour ago. Okay, my reverse selector fork broke, leaving the gear to float back and forth, chipping teeth and sending them floating about and gunking up the works. The hardening on all the other gears was chipping away. The input bearing and another one were also shot.
  14. 17x8.5 & 17x9.5 fit in the +35-38 area, fine up front, stick out a bit (enough to get you hassled) with 255 at the rear, so i think 18x9.5 is probably pushing it.

  16. How about a $10 Million Satgea instead? http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/...icle_id=3077114
  17. To use a Bunnings Special (read: cheapo) hole saw on metal you need a decent, but most importantly, a variable speed, drill. Do it slowly with plenty of pressure to grind it down, doing it fast just makes it skip about, and wear the saw teeth out and smoke a lot. And after cutting my hole i broke out the ball hammer, and folded a lip over all the way around, so no sharp edges to damage the hosing. Oh and gave it a few coats of black spray paint too. But next car I'm planning on getting a piping kit that folds back on itself, and goes up thru the stock location, I know the flow isn't as good but atleast it's 100% reversible.
  18. Yeah called them, $550, and other places $900 like you said.
  19. It's all in the title really, if you have one, or know of one avail. please let me know. Cheers, - Ash.
  20. No such luck, its from this email, http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail145.html Click the "CG Dinosaur" text when he types it.

  22. I appreciate that buddy. As it stands Darren and I are looking for a place, thanks everyone for the input/help. Cheers, - Ash.
  23. Well I go it taken down to Rowle & Searle, they've had it out and inspected it, as i guessed "it's cactus". They reckon when I lost reverse it sent a collar or some such floating back and forth, lost some teeth, created some more metal floaties, and the fun ensued from there. A rebuild wouldn't be cost-effective, so now i'm in the market for a decent 2nd hand jobbie.
