Time to bring this puppy back to life...
What more details to you do have SK about the day?
-
Last I'd heard most gas inj. systems were limited to 33KW (@ fly) per injector, and thats only 200KW, i assume you either have higher rated injectors or are going two-per-cylinder?
-
This has been covered SO many times, try searchin in future, but here we go.
1. Tapping ANYTHING in to the boost line to you FPR is a VERY bad ieda, you want your FPR to react as quickly as possible, hence why they have a very short line from the plenum, by adding extra hose your are duling it's response.
2. The easiest safe place is T from the line that runs to your factory boost/MAP sensor, little black box on the firewall drivers side. Well hats the location on a R32, not 100% on it's location for a R33, but you'll find it.
-
It was still too large, try this on for size, pardon the pun.
-
Slightly OT I know, but further on from talking about A/F logging to adjust tuning, are there any aftermarket ECU's that use wideband O2 sensors as a major imput ala Porsche OEM style?
-
Yeah mate that would have been me, i left there at about 6:45, i should have given you my mobile no. so you could call me. Sorry.
Well maybe next time I'll see you up there, I wont be going next week as I'm in Melb with work, but maybe the week after.
-
There's GasResearch, http://www.gasresearch.com.au/, but call them to ask about fitters don't rely on their website (it's old).
But they stock this gas injection gear: www.prins-lpg.com

Most boost gauges are pretty poorly calibrated, chances are you're really running more than 10psi, spiking up just too high and hittingR&R as mentioned. Wind it back until it's okay, but if you want finer control, spend some real money on an EBC.
-
Sorry guys but i have to pull out, been told at the last minute, I have to go down to Melbourne with work Fri - Wed.
Have a good one.
-
Yeah mate, if i go again (esp. if I'm out there), i'll be bring a change of clothes to work. Wasn't exactly in "suitable" atire (pardon the pun).

Oh and i should revise those directions, the distances are way off, i almost gave up, i thought I'd gone past it.
1. The turn-off is almost 10km past AIR, not 3km, you just need to look out for the "4WD blah blah hire course" sign (summin like that).
2. It's at least another 5km down the seeled road, and there's no sign, you just keep going until there's no sealed road left then turn on to the right-hand dirt road.
3. Those with low cars and hard susp, take it real easy on the road to the office, HEAVILY rutted and pot-holed.
-
Nah i just went to check it out, i left straight from work so there i was standing in a dirt bowl in a shirt and slacks, to say i was the odd one out is an understatement.
Very much a "backyard operation" but i guess the price is low, the course looks pretty goo but you have to be careful about where you run off as the tyres can and did cause a bit of carnage to bodykits.
Kinda funny really, cause it wasn't me, but a blue ceffy was the first car out there, 2/3 of a lap down smashed his rear bar but didn't realise and kept going. Then his missus took it out, understeered it on the big sweeper, smashed off the front bar and got beached on some tyres. Had to get pulled out.
-
No, he said the vents, they're the slots/holes around the edge of the disc (if you look at it end on).
-
Directions for the peoples:
Apparently "this sign" is just general signage and you shouldn't be able to miss it.1. Travel down Pt Wakefield Rd, about 4km past Adelaide International raceway, then turn left at the Pt Gawler turnoff. Watch your speed as its easy to miss.2. Travel down the sealed Rd about another 3km and turn right at this sign onto an unsealed Rd.
3. Travel about 200m's down the unsealed Rd and you will arrive at the Office.
I'll be heading there after work and will probably be around for the 6pm kick off, if not then a little later, any other SAU-ers dead set going?

-
Slightly OT, but i had a quick search and could find anything concrete on minimum thickness (for a R32 GTST), except maybe 24.2mm for fronts.
Anyone know for sure?
Cheers,
- Ash.
-
Very, very nice Geoff, have you got whole engine bay pics with that on?
-
Would this be a mechanical type converter or an electronic type?
Mechanical, if you have a wholey electronic send then there's an Autospeed/Jaycar kit lets you DIY.

That link didn't work but i found them anyway:
Drilling in to the hosing wouldn't be a good idea unless you could remove it first, definately don't want metal filings in the bushes, or on the magnets.
How about this one:
It has the holes and the terminals are at the rear, but they're tabs and stick out.
But it's all moot unless you can find a dealer, their sales mob look really only geared up to sell in bulk, bummer.
Google turned up this place:
http://www.kysanelectronics.com/electricmotorsdcmabuchi.htm
Maybe drop them a a line?
This thread mentions a supplier in the US of similar motors:
http://www.g2ic.com/forums/printthread.php?t=93099
Another mob in Korea:
http://www.motorize.co.kr/english/view.asp...3&lev2=3&lev3=4
This seems to imply they're used to power small RC/Scaletrix cars:

Some maybe try some hobby shops?
-
And it's a cheap fix, but if that's not it then at least you've only "wasted" a very small amount of money, best to try simple/cheap stuff before you fret on gaskets.
But for the record, a head gasket wont always result in milky oil, it depends where it's blown.

Yes

For those interested...
-
Do you have a photo of it, and/or a link to similar Mabuchi item, i'm interested to see what they look like (but not enough to pull my mirrors apart to find out )
