Okay this is my last message before i knock-off work and start drinking beer
Remember to pack some warm clothes, BOM has tm as "Min 6 Max 16 Fine. Mostly sunny" for Adelaide, so hopefully it wont rain.
See you all at 8:00AM at the location i PM'd you.
-
PM's sent to Deluxe, Boof, Nozila, and Sambo33.
-
Nozila, Sambo33, Deluxe, and Boof haven't been active since teh forum change, all my email notifications and old links stopped working so they may not know what's going on.
I have Sam & Duc 's mobile ph. no. 's so i can get in touch with them and pass on the details no worries, but it's the other two I'm worried about. I'll PM them all regardless but if anyone has alternative ways to contact them could you please pass on the info?
Cheers,
- Ash.
-
Yea i also live south
We could meet along their way to the rally
I'll PM you both my mobile number so you can get in touch once we arrive if you can't make it to the meet spot in time.
-
Okay, based on the poll in the other thread we've settled on Saturday for the day, the meet point will be the regular place in the North East, but I'll send out PMs on Friday to all those who've posted in here thus far (if you've been lurking then make yourself known now so i can message you).
As for a time, the Rally action starts at 8:30AM, it'll take ~1hr to drive there (maybe more if we get stuck in traffic?) plus: parking, getting the shuttle bus, buying tickets, finding a good spot, etc.
So I say, the earlier the better, i know i originally threw around 9:00AM but unless people are particularly against:
8:00AM Meet, 8:15AM Depart.

http://www.rallyofsa.com.au/Forties1.html - has a map of the viewing areas, there's a spot in the middle between the two hairpins of the Forties and Ridgetops stages, is that it?
Anyways i hope everyone else found their way back to this thread since my old link wasn't working with this new forum migration.

Well looks like things are leaning towards Sat as is...
-
I measured one up just recently and as best as i can tell their too big in every dimension.
You might be able to chop the shroud down to fit in height and width but it'll be touch and go for detpth. I just wanted to get my car back on the road to as soon as I saw it wasn't going to be a simple operation i bailed.
-
I'm thinking i might, yeah, although i could be pretty hung over on the Sunday.sunday for me too, are you gonna come along ash?I'll give one of you a call on the day if i'm heading up and work it out.
-
Sam / Zila : You planning on going on the Sat or Sun?
-
holy shit!!!!! thats fucLike i said, contentious views on running an engine in...
Oh you meant the arrow thing! hehehe
-
Quite contentious, can't say whether I'd follow this advice or not, but it's certainly food for thought. http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htmill be taking it easy for a bit, while im running the engine in anyways. what steps did you follow to run your engine in cubes? And on a totally unrelated note here's some pictures...

POLL - TO DECIDE THE DAY HERE!
Get voting.
As for a meet point I'm thinking the regular NE Suburbs spot will be good. For those of you who don't know it do not worry it'll be PM'd to you when the time comes.
I'm not sure what time the festivities start, whether you need to be early to get a good spot, so I'll leave that discussion to those who have been before, but maybe meetup at something like 9:00 AM and make a day of it?
-
Okay, just trying to work out which day is preferable for those wanting to met up and head off to this event.
Please keep discussion in here only about choosing a day, any other talk i.e. about the meet/cruise, or event in general should go in the sticky here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...d.php?p=1418177
All over info. / announcement will be posted in that thread also.
Cheers,
- Ash.

Just splice into the wire at the plug that goes in to the ECU.hey do u hook up the injector input at the ecu ie the gate of the transistor or the output of the transistor ie the injector itself ...cheers in advanced -
The two guys who run the site, "The Brothers Chaps", were able to quit their day jobs and now do nothing else but make those cartoons based on the merchandise revenue alone.
-
Probably the most popular non-core character is a Dragon that Strongbad drew, called: "Trogdor: The Burninator" (picture at the end), in this episode: http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail58.html.
The site is full of stupid cartoons, there's a wiki all about it here: http://www.hrwiki.org/
Now for Trogdor in all his "majesty".
-
Nope. Click it to find it's genesis. I'm kinda hooked on that site so have a poke around the rest of it, it'll either give you a lot of laughs, or leave you thinking I'm weird, possibly both.btw, did you draw your sig ash? -
Thought this was funny...
-
I was going to suggest you go buy some tools so you can do this sort of simple sh!t yourself, but i don't think you can be trusted with them!
-
I realise you probably can't comment too much about an impending court case but if you can keep us as informed as you can that'd be great. I know I'm not the only one HIGHLY interested in the outcome. What's the bet this part doesn't get quite the same media attention?
Good luck with it all.
Back to your original question:
* I'd be removing the boost controller if you have one.
* Make sure your exhaust isn't too loud.
* The car isn't too low (it always best to run stock susp. if you can).
* Check that all your seat belts retract correctly, give them a sharp yank, then let go and they should go back all the way in one single movement (can be a bugger to adjust this right).
* Tyres obviously.
* No guages etc. on A-pillars or other areas that are "dangerous" or block vision.
* Any tinting that may be too dark, remove.
* Aftermarket steering wheel? MUST have a padded centre.
* Aftermarket gear knob? MUST have the shift pattern printed on it.
* Clean up the underside and engine bay, no leaks etc.
* Brake pads and rotors got enough meat on them?
* No rips in you seat fabric (apparently this is bad i don't know why).
That's all i can think of off the top of my head but I'm sure there's more.
-
Well it had a GTR wing, not sure if it had the pumped guards, i only got a quick look but i think it did. Not that that means it's a GTR but sure looked like one at a glance. Anyways was purty
-
Is that the same user on here WWWDOT?yeah i saw that on channel 9 news.Coz he started a thread today but things don't seem that drastic.

Saw a VERY nice Yellow GTR at the car wash on North East Rd in Gilles Plains on Saturday. Had a big Trust FMIC and numberplate was something along the lines of "OUTKAST".
