So wait a sec, this ISN'T a group buy any more? :confused:Ive moved a few of these for my supplier now so $400 is the price for one. -
I know, i know all this, but.....
I guess since it's just up the road from my place I'll drop by the meet point and assess things from there.

yeah it's sweet.

Forum rules state you MUST put up prices.
Edit: At least they used to, can't seem to find that sticky, oh well...

Perhaps from the cat-back they might be the same, but certainly not from the turbo back, for obvious reasons...Its on a GTS-t but i believe they are interchangeable, so i will fit a 32 GTR as well.Pictures added.

Nice work Andrew. Go RB powah!

Sorry I couldn't make it, I f**king ran over our mains and created a water feature in our front yard :headspin:, a brain fart on my count but I'd still like to meet the d!ckhead who put in partially IN the driveway!

I'll still be there. We still gonna go ahead with this cruise if it's p1$$ing down with rain tomorrow (like it currently is)?No, I'm not afraid of getting wet.
-
Exactly, the stock cooler is designed to handle the low % of time spent on boost in city driving or highway cruising, sustained load such as a very long steep hill or track racing and it's well out of it's depth.
-
No worries, i don't have carte blanche on the printer, but a couple dozen print outs isn't going to get anyone's back up.
Edit: Thought I'd pre-empt you and add the link.

I have an '89 GTST with a Consult plug, which i know works just fine, BUT i think mine is an October '89.
-
Duc, if you want to send me a copy of the directions (provided you trust I wont pass them on to the authorities ) then i'll run up a bunch of copies at work and bring them on the day.

This should give you an idea on CA18DET pricing, complete package for $1000, shame it's in QLD.

Well I've done some limited stuffing around but couldn't be botehred with what seems like a temporary solution which is why I'm gonna pick up some SplitFires.
There's a group by in my sig, $640 which might not be as cheap as Nengun (only if you manage to dodge GST and customs), but that's a guaranteed price to my door. I don't mind paying $40 for the piece of mind.

Shit that's right, i forgot you need to unbolt the fan, that's what i was thinking of whne blathering about shroud and rad in one piece, need the fan in there too!The best way to remove the radiator is undo the 4 x 10mm nuts holding the fan on....remove the fan. Undo the 2 x 10mm bolts holding the brackets that hold the top of the radiator. Undo the top and bottom radiator hose clamps and remove hose from radiator. Disconnect green plug from drivers side of fan shroud. Slide radiator out from the top. Should take no longer than 10 minutes. -
:confused:i unwisely bought 6 new splitfire coils, likewise the car has never felt better -
I feel like a CD on replay........
Put the rear springs in the front and buy new rear springs, around 200 to 250 lbs per inch. Sell the rediculously hard front spings to some poor unsuspecting fool. Cost = almost zero,l if you do the fitting yourself.
Very interesting, I'm glad this particular record is broken because I hadn't come across a previous playing, something to think about after I get my fronts rebuilt.
I have a feeling i wont want to go back to the bone-jarrers after cruising around on stock susp. for a couple of weeks.
-
Yeap, radiator comes out pretty easy, just remember to slide it and the fan shroud on at the same time when you put it back, if you bolt the rad in then attempt to put the shroud back on you'll have a hell of a time clearing the fan and not bashing up your rad.

Try using a hair dryer to heat it up and soften the glue behind it and see if you can peel it off then.
-
Ummm... yeah, yeah i did, sorry have a :bananaman to make you feel better!you dont find any of them funny? where your funny bone ash? -
Unfortunately most of them wont show your speed over a certain amount these days, there's a couple on the Freeway in Vic but if you do >107kph the say "Too Fast! Slow Down!".

Mine's NEVER gone higher than about 90 odd degrees on a hot day, admittedly it wasn't uber- stop/start but it wasn't all cruising either, except when i left some hose to do with the heater disconnected so when i switched it on i lost half my water and got things a little toasty but nothing drastic before i sorted it out.The temp guage reads center from roughly 75degree's right up to 102degree's.If its going over half then its over 102degree's and dangerously close to boiling temp.
IF the FMIC has caused the car to start running hotter on the stock guage then it means you previously had a problem with either the clutch fan being stuffed or the radiator is blocked. I tend to lean towards the clutch fan being buggered.
With my FMIC fitted I find bugger all air gets through the radiator as cruising on 60km/h or even 100km/h I can hear the clutch fan cycle in and out.
EL Ford Falcon twin thermo fans draw a hell of a lot of air (more than a clutch fan would under 2000rpm) so thats my next step as in peak hour traffic I find the temps creep up over 90degree's. Once I get moving the temps drop really quick so its a simple fact of the clutch fan not spinning quick enough on idle.
They are $190 bran spankin new and are the perfect size for the R32's radiator.

So i we can order 1 @ $400 price and not have to wait for another 5 people to get onboard? Hmmm tempting...
