Just because the stud pattern is right doesn't guarantee they'll fit, so... what car have they come off?
-
Anyone else notice this thread has been linked from Autospeed?
-
I don't mind missing some of the earlier action if it means a bit more snooze time on Sat morn! But i dunno how packed it gets, when it gets packed out at Calder you have to walk a country mile and leave your car in what amounts to a paddock, is it worth getting there early for a decent car park?
-
I'm in, looking forward to meeting some SA Skyliners...
Edit: This is the Jacks i assume: Cnr Walkleys and Montague Rd ?
-
what car have they come off, what are the offsets, and do you have an approx. weight for them?
cheers.

Do you need the hand controller. Or can you just get the boost controller buy itself. ?
I was going to get a simploe relief valve and check valve to bring on boost faster but started reading this. Seems a little harder though
thanks
You need the hand-controller to set it up, so yes you do need one, if you could borrow one during setup then you could live without it on the road.
But, if you want to make any adjustments then you'll need it back again, i also think you need the controller to switch between boost maps too so you'd be stuck on the one map.

So peoples, it's 5 days away, now is there going to be a SA-SAU meetup for this?
-
Preferably a RB25DET item but also interested in SR20DET or any other that is "normally closed", i.e. when the solenoid is NOT energised no air can pass through it.
Will pick up if Adelaide seller, any interstate sellers must be willing to C.O.D.
Cheers,
- Ash.

SK, what about 32 gtst's RB20? Do they have a solenoid that will work? Just trying to work out if I need to source a solenoid or if mine will have one it aleady?
RB20's don't use a solenoid, just a ~10 psi actuator, you'll need to get yourself a solenoid from somewhere else. e.g. RB25 / SR20

have also kits for for 4Door Skylines (R32/R33)
Well what can you offer for R32's?
I've PM'd you my email address if you have any pics.
-
Nobody is really servicing the sedan market at the moment, get some quality kits for 4DR Skylines / Cefiros / Laurels and you'll certainly have some business...

What about a white R32 GTST with GTR frnnt bar with a very pretty brunette driving on North Terrace of a monring..sorry if its anyones gf:( ... even better if its her car:thumbsup:
Also there are two R32 GTSTs next door to where i work in Thebarton. In the 5 months ive been working here the grey one has grown an exhaust system, a Greddy sticker and now has a drift sticker:)
Geez i just move over here 2 weeks ago and i'm already finding familiar Skyliners in the area!
Nice to see your car back in the thick of it at the Calder WRX Sprint, you and Rowdy flying the R32 banner high , I spoke to him on the day when he wanted to know how reset one of Impakt's DigiDash's but that's been the only time since I left Melbourne, did he finish off the day with some drift action like Sandown?
-
I understand that they are legal on the street.
D01J's are street legal, just... but i would bet on hard questions from cops if you get pulled over coz the tread pattern is minimalist at best.
-
hi im keen on getting a AERO STYLE bonnet, just want to make sure you could get one that would fit onto a GTST R32???
They look like they're made for GTR's, so they'd still fit but, are missing the front lip bit. You'd need an OEM or after market grill to put in the gap.
-
Where'd you all hide?
I just moved over here nearly 2 weeks ago, I commute FROM the City to Tech Park and i hardly see any 'lines on the streets, way more Supras, 180/200's, and Rex's.
Anyways if you see a Blue 4DR R32 with Vic plates (you should be able to work out its me from what they say) then roll-up gimme a wave!
-
My car will need a respray in the next 6-12 months so a bodykit makes sense at the same time, so i'm certainly interested, but do you have any pics of r32 kits other than the BN as that one doesn't really do it for me.
-
what diameter are they?
-
As per topic.
[email protected] or 0422-963-812
Has it been chipped or is it 100% stock?
Edit: Also, can i assume its from a R32?
-
I was quoted from two different places and they are round the same I'd say you'd be looking at around about $40 each machined and extra $40each for slotted or cross-drilled.
Another question and sorry if it's been asked already, I was looking at getting a set of DBA 4000+ rotors for an R33 although I'll be looking at around $900 a set.
Whats the price comparison on a set of R33 GTR (2nd hand) rotors and are they much different from the GTS-T rotors in performance?
I have a set of Bendix Ultimates (pads) going in, should they hold up for track days? or can someone recommend something better for around the same cost?
Cost of Bendix Ultimates - $120 front $109 rear (pair)
I seem to remember some of the guys, at the first Vic club meet, saying good things about the high-end Ferodo's but don't quote me and i don't know what they're worth.
First off do a search, i'm sure its been discussed before, then failing that ask some of the regular track day peoples (you be able to see based on the events forums).

Of course I must add that so is the GTR ECU, otherwise it wouldn't need the coil pack, would it?
Resistor pack even
-
resistor pack? please elaborate!
GTR's run low-impedance injectors, the ECU wants to drive high-impedance ones, so a resistor pask in between ups the impedance.
You can easily build one from JayCar 10W ceramic resistors for $10-20 depending on how neat you want it.

Also try the computer reset trick, first go grab a tank full of BP Ultimate (any 98RON will do but i like BP) and take your car home, disconnect the negative from the battery, hold the brake pedal down for a min, then reconnect the battery and take her for a thrash.
This all puts the ECU back in to self learn mode making slight adjustments to ignition.
If you eliminate you shift habits, fuel quality, ECU reset as possible causes the next step is to check the timing.

another thing to check is the voltage of your electrics while the car is running, esp. under a bit of load, if your alternator has a dodgy regulator the voltage could be spiking too high and that can kill bulbs.
Get a mutli-meter accross the ciggy lighter socket and take it for a burn, with a passenger keeping an eye on the reading, if you have fancy data-logging one you can do it by yourself. Just don't come back saying you crashed your car while looking at the meter rather than the road!

The colour of the paint will have a miniscule effect compared to the insulating properties of the paint itself, thick paint = bad, thin = good. If you want to go stealth just make sure you use a very thin paint and the difference in cooling efficiency will be negligable.
