Hey guys, Back Again, the AFM i got second hand stuffed up on me. Few questions regarding getting a AFM for it that is after maket or off nother model. I Have a R33 gtst 1995, it has the series 2 engine in it, u recon the z32 airflow meters off available on group buys, will run fine on my car. even if i have to get the right plug. i might be getting my hands on a AFM from a R33 GTR and wondering if that may work with my stock ecu. i am aware there a different plug sizez out there. Any information is great. Rob

Robz replied to Robz's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Hye guys, Problem at conclusion and all solved now. My mechanice who did the best job( Ron at Northside EFI at Brendale) found that is was the Air Flow Meter, and my fuel pump was playing up too, not holding presure. So the main problem being teh AMF, i sorced one down second hand, from Driftking at Geebung for mad price. put on tonight and the car goes harder and better that before. Thanks everyone for your help. I have spend some money on it, but i got there, got a car full of new components now. Cruise on boys Thanks Robz -

Need Help With A Cutting Out Problem
Robz replied to Robz's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Hey Electro, well it mainly happens after a drive after it has warmed up, or more when i have given it to her, less likley to do it if i go real easy, so yer coudl be wat u thinking, it has a los of power over normal rev ranges too, it not like it ment to be, that wat i getting at, i always throught it was fuel or air related, so i minimissed that and done wat i can, so looks like could be some sensor. any more info/input is all good, thanks mate -

Hey Guys, Everyone Been good help on here so far and got me through, This time I have tryed so much and no luck so far. My R33 drops idle intermitently and then cuts out, on idle or even driving. The car seems to drive fine then jsut looses power and then drops to low idle and drops out, then comes back after bout 20 seconds. I have replace : 1 Fuel filter 2 spark plugs 3 o2 sensor(with a new 3 inch dump pipe.) I starting to run out of ideas. I had a performance company lookat it and they new crap all. i won't mention the company name yet. I thinking all that left maybe be fuel pump or somthing. It only happens everynow and then, and is now happening more often. I have minimal mods. basily increased boost the biggest. Anyone have any ideas please let me know. I to the point where i might have to get a machanice with a diagnistics system look at it. Any help or ideas is a help. It starting to cost me too much, Thanks Rob

Hey guys, Laltley since i have run the 100 cotane shell fuel, my R33 is running awful, basicaly undrivable. It is runnign real rich and all u can smell is fuel all the time, The main problen is on idle, runs way too low, i got stock ECU. Wondering wat u think it could be. I have thourght the O2 sensor or airfuel meter, only things i can think and have had look at really. I booked in for tune shope later in week, jsut seeing if i can fix myself before it cost me too much at shop. Thanks guys and girls. Rob

Well i went out on my day off and shopped for batteries, but ended up at super cheap wiht a Bosch Gold Series one, cos me 89, ten Bucks off. Thing is tho it was taller, lil, well the Terminals are form the top, not sunken in like the stock batt. The Wires with teh battery terms. were too short. arrrgg so i used some big arse amp white and attached to the old bat climps and then attached new ones to the ends of amp wire, seems to go fine, haven't had teh moring test yet, that is tomorrow. I got to find better way to joint that big arse wire so i 100% sure i getting percet connection. If got any ideas on the joining let us know. Anyway i let ya's know how all goes. Later,

Hello guys I am Buying off a Mate a brand new Turbosmart boost control(bleed valve) and i have been looking round the SAU forums on teh way to conect it up. I noticed that looks like u have to bypass the bosot solanoid on my R33. so wat are the instructions on installing it, can it just go between the two hoses of the bosot solanoid or should it go before or after the solanoid and still have it connected. I just a lil confused how the two go together. as older rb and sr engine cars don't have the boost solanoid. Thanks heaps guys, If u got any pics too would be great. Later
