    Ants

I got pulled over on Monday night by a copper on a bike, thought he was going to defect me for the ants...wouldn't be suprised. Instead, he said, "I've been following you for a while, trying to work out your wheel stud configuration". He had a quick look... said "All good, P-Plates; non-turbo, have a good night mate".... big relief, actually quite happy with the outcome!

Yeah I checked with Rex the Echidna from the holeproof undies ad, he's booked solid... Does anyone know if bunnings sell tiny little mouse traps?

...hmm...is it strange that I had already given this serious consideration.... i figured one spider would be heaps easier to catch, but the bird... i like it

    Stupid EPA

What's the deal with motorbike exhaust levels? 90% of bikes are 10x Louder than any done up V8. Do they have a different dB limit, or are the EPA just too scared to confront the Bikies?

    Ants

In hindsight, perhaps I shouldn't have just killed the first one and put his body on display to send out a message, they just returned in force... Thanks for the suggestions, keep em coming! I'll try everything! :Bang: The car is always clean and never has food, drink or rubbish left around. I think there is just a lot in our street at the moment/maybe an ant hill near where I (have to) park. I'm worried if I spray the area near the car, they'll all seek refuge inside. Game on

    Ants

Not sure if there is any correlation between inark's 'ceffy groupies' hanging around his car, but I came back from a week down the beach to find my car had attracted a crowd of its own. It was covered in ants Initially they were just under the bonnet at the base of the windscreen, then gradually branched out to basically all over the car. I'm talking hundreds of the bastards. I went to town with the high pressure hose, but they still came back. I went to the car yesterday to find that they were completely gone, thought it must've been the heat. Went for a drive and found them all crawl out from every orifice of the car. I had crawling them on my arms and legs and makes it really hard to drive! I've never had this problem before, but i really hope they haven't nested in the car. Apart from my little whinge(I'm quite bored at work), I was wondering if is safe to spray anything on the car itself or bug bomb the interior. They have been coming out of the air vents, and i'd rather not have to put too many chemicals into the air con. Apart from crushing them with my fingers (so far I must have wiped out at least 200), can anybody suggest an appropriate course of action? :ak47: :headshot: :bonk: :fight!: :whip: :microwave :chairshot :flamer:
  7. I've got a momo wheel and removed the the whole button assembly as soon as i noticed the problem. Had the guy (drives JAPCRP) at Autobarn pretty puzzled. When you press the horn button, you can hear a faint clicking noise under the bonnet. Makes me think the wheel/wires are fine, but part of the actual horn is knackered. Such a petty problem, but it's driving me crazy.. i never* use my horn, and there have been sooo many times that i've NEEDED it lately. *rarely  If I did need to take it to someone, can anyone suggest a good place?
  8. Thanks for the responses guys, and nark the cheque is in the mail. The guy at autobarn checked the relay and said it was fine, but I might try them again and mention a few of your suggestions. Cheers
  9. Well I thought that would get a few raised eyebrows... I had a drunk friend in the car the other night and when I ducked back into the house to grab a jacket, she started tooting the (lame arse air horn that came with the car) horn again and again. I thought nothing of it, but went to use it the other day in a car park and it doesn't work (either air or normal horn). I've had a mate test it all with a multimeter and everything 'seems' fine. He says that I'll need to see an auto elec, but i thought I should check if there was a simple solution that I've overlooked. I've done a search, but haven't been able to find anything substantial. The fuse is fine and the horn button is still grounded, but I'm buggered if i can work out the problem! Any advice would be great! Cheers
  10. I'm getting the same thing done to mine in about a month. I'm not sure about anywhere in Perth, but give these guys a call, they are the best around aparently, and should know of any counterpart stores in your neck of the woods. www.dashboardcentre.com.au It takes about a week or two (given that the R33 dash needs to be sandblasted before they start) and then they can dip it in a carbon fibre colour of your choice or a few other prints/patterns. They give the car a great finish and it'll set you back roughly $400-$500. Either way, they'll more than helpful and will be able to give you some ideas of what can and cannot (should not) be done. Good luck with it

  22. I'll be in guys. Been reading the boards for a while now, so it'd be good to put some faces to the.... (user)names at my first event. Getting my car lowered tomorrow morning, so it should be in good shape for the meet. Catch you all there
  23. I'm getting superlow kings put on next week, there's aparently only 10mm difference between low and superlow, can anyone vouch for this? they said they'd still be the legal 10cms off the ground.
  24. I'm just finishing off the final touches of mine. While I've lost about 5'' in the depth of the boot, i've got way more space than i ever did with a sub box and 3 amps. Its a bugger to get to the space saver, but i figure its worth it, and i still have access to everything. Getting great bass at the moment with just one 12'' and there's plenty of room left over. I'll have some progressive pics up next week
  25. Well if you've noticed me on here pretty much between 9 & 5 everyday, you may have guessed that I work for the government. I work for the Department of Justice, with the emergency services, so basically, surfing the net all day...these server outages are killing me!
