wolverine. I've got a GCG with an R34 rear housing on an R33gtst. Havent had a tune yet (running very rich). I get about 14psi by about 3500rpm in 4th. In 2nd though it is more like 4200rpm! Hopefully with a tune it will bring it down a bit. Is that the sort of lag you had with your GCG? Is the GTRs much less laggy. Should have maybe stuck with the R33 rear housing..not swapping it now though! 1st gear sees a definite lunge as boost comes on. Feels a bit delayed if you pull out with your foot planted. Slightly off topic but relevant in regards to boost build etc. If you only want 200rwkw stick with the stocker or HKS 2530

The benefits from this will be huge - definately worth the risk!

Anyone know if a silencer will get rid of a bit of drone. My kakimoto 3.5" is a little droney when you back off or go up a hill pulling 2500rpm. Thinking of making a silencer to add for longer drives. Will this reduce the drone at all? It has got a little louder since the hi flow turbo. It has a big centre muffler..and rear

Just buy a set of 4 from an S15 manual silvia and you have a set of 6!! I had the other 2 from this set flow tested and they did 510cc/min (although cleaning fluid is different density - probably around 460-480cc with petrol) so they shouldn't even need cleaning. Slight marks on plastic where they have removed them from the rail. This is purely cosmetic, absolutely no affect on performance or reliability. Glad you got your car sorted mate... Must be a bit of a beast now. Why didnt you push a bit more boost through it? You just being cautious or was something stopping you cranking it up more?

Looking for just the piece back to the rear muffler. I am looking for a quiet piece that is around 3" with a muffler. I have a 3.5" stainless steel but a bit too loud. I don't need the rear muffler. Cheers

hey Guys, Just trying to track down my fuel pump. Paul (performancewise) hasnt been around for about 2 weeks. I bought it over 2 weeks ago and he said it would be 5-7 days. Anyone know if he is ok? Hopefully my pump comes soon but I dont even have a tracking no. Cheers

150ono - Good nick complete with O-rings. No need for cleaning - just removed.

A higher amp rating wont hurt. Thats the max it can deliver - if your under the max no changes will be seen... They may have just changed suppliers or design slightly hence the different amp rating etc.

Are these any good. 666DAN - was that $130US for 6 injectors? Whats the go? On the website they say $430US for a set of 6 R33 Injectors. Do you then get money for your trade ins? Cheers Also, DO they come with the o-rings and would they be genuine ones?

Nice tutorial! Interesting my R33 series 1 had 5 bolts holding the rail in not 3 as pictured for your Series 2 Also, do most people just replace o-rings and leave the insulators alone? Im going to check all mine and see that they look ok. Good idea to replace all the hoses around there. Disturbing 10year+ old hoses isn't a good thing. Anyone know a good place in sydney that does cleaning and flow testing for $25 or less an injector? Cheers

If it is the same RON rating as our fuel then 92 oct will need more than 1-2 deg timing taken out. If I run the standard fuel you may need to pull up to 9 deg timing out so you dont see knock on the hand controller!

So anyone know what a good cheap centre muffler would be? Looking to use 3" from cat back to rear muffler

If it is really seized even the weld trick doesnt work. You just have to drill out the stud.

So what is a good muffler/ resonator (and cheap) to weld into that pipe from cat to rear muffler? I have heard the oval off centre entry ones are good..I guess the bigger the better for noise abaitment Might grab some 3" pipe 3" should flow 240rwkw right?

Thanks Beerbaron. Might make up a 3" in MSteel modelling my kakimoto. Does anyone know exactly what the GTR Cat back size is? Is it 2.75 or 2.5" ?? Is it in fact bigger than the GTST? I was thinking of keeping 3" Dump/front --> 3" Cat ---> GTR Standard 2.75? Cat to rear muffler (chop and weld on flange) ---> Kakimoto rear muffler. Cheap way to see if quietens it down while still making ok power. Anyone got a GTR cat back (minus muffler for $20? hahah)

Well 206kw R34s godown to about 150rwkw. Take off about 60kw 300kw HSVs dyno at about 225rwkw. In this case 75kw

MAFIA - had any luck with quieting yours down? If the GTR is 2.75" and fits then maybe it would be ok up to about 240rwkw? Mine has 2 mufflers in it already.

What did you use to quieten it down??
