  1. How much did this turbo cost? How come you didnt go the GCG hiflow - that apparently comes on boost pretty quick also,.,,or a HKS2530.. Just curious. I like the idea of mid range. I have around 170-180rwkw running stock turbo, 10psi, r34 SMIC but it would be nice to have a turbo that would be cranking out 200-220rwkw reliably - with good midrange (I dont believe the stocker is capable of this...maybe on some dynos it does). But 50rwkw above what I have would be PLENTY!
  2. I had a mate lose a few of my mags and this was one of them The mag was released about about 6-12 months ago. It had 0-100 times etc..I think they got the r33gtst at 7.1sec saying it was a bit slower than others they had tested. I wanted to keep this article for down the track etc. Can anyone do a nice quality scan or something for me..if that is not too hard to get. Cheers
  3. You will find most cars don't go past about 140-150rwkw without R&R (a true dyno reading). THe R33 ECU freaks out very easy!!! If you raise boost to 10-11psi and do exhaust andintercooler, most likely you are getting R&R. You can in fact lose power from mods!!
  4. It makes sense to not bother with forged internals etc. Look how he did with a stock motor. For most people you could go a little conservative compared to what he's getting and be happy for many years!! Unless you are after huuuuge no's that aren't street useable. Good luck with the next stocker.. Rb30 block would be nice
  5. The boost shouldn't rise more than 1psi after those mods. The actuator is sensing the pressure after the intercooler. All the cars I have seen the boost stays pretty much the same before and after those mods. Exhaust certainly doesnt change it. I saw 0.5psi increase after intercooler. If you only want 10psi don't spend over $30...
  6. That's pretty damn cheap for the FMIC kit!!. Khanjung what turbo you running? 3500rpm isnt too bad for that power level!!
  7. Chris - you impressed me either way heheh Funny I'm getting accused of adding rice factor. My car's a very stock looking 4 door. First time I've been accused of this. ... I guess I could flange the centre muffler and add a straight piece to replace - but its stainless and would have to get some stainless mig wire.. and I don't really want to butcher it. Might be one of those things I wont get around to doing. Cheers Chris..
  8. Hahah. Fair call. Driving skills are hard to acquire Not to impress really but I would like some nice vids where you can actually hear the RB reving a little. For down the track (no pun intended) when we all have electric motor scotters.. I might whip one up anyway - $20 in material and about an hours work.. I don't think it will be unbearably loud just a bit louder ..have to see. Thanks anyway
  9. Hi there, I went out for a skidpan day with evilweevil and crew the other day (great fun BTW). My car was too quiet. It has a 3.5" kakimoto rear muffler and another quiet big resonator or muffler further towards the front of the car. (Still in cat back section). What I was thinking was to just remove the rearmost muffler (it is flanged) and buy a 3-3.5" Flange and weld a bit of 3" pipe to it so it comes straight out.. Anybody done this.. Is it legal for the track? How loud do you think it will be. That way I can just swap over the easily removed rear section before track days etc. Chris' car and a few other R33s sounded so good. Craigs car (a white r33) also sounded great. Thanks Ps. I realise I would need to weld on something as a hanger..might need one bend aswell.
  10. Sorry guys - I wont be able to take the spot. Thanks anway. evilweevel - I sent you an email back..thanks for looking out for me In about a months time I will be keen!
  11. You shouldnt need to play with the TPS right? I dont want to change things as the car has been tuned. I do get the occassional hunt though..bit annoying
  12. Didnt see this! Will there be another one like this again. Reasonable price also
  13. Movie of the Brown Beast.. http://www.upload2.net/page/download/srVbl.../beast.avi.html I have others that I will eventually post.. http://www.upload2.net/page/download/6r2xF...clover.avi.html Here is mine on the clover circuit... I have new kyb shocks but it looks a little soft. Maybe a strut brace upfront will stop some chassis flex but overall it looks a bit soft. I guess maybe the spring rates are a bit low.. Somebody might want to post this on that antilag site - cheers
  14. Not sure on the RB20 but yeah I tried NSK direct and they were heaps dearer. Spent a few hours calling up etc but saved over $100 or more so definately worth it. I couldn't believe there was so much difference.
  15. Dont bother if stock boost. I'm running 10psi thorugh a r34 SMIC and it is fine. A FMIC at 10psi or less or even on the stock turbo is a bit of a showy thing rather than a performance gain. Unless your on boost around a track for hours , then a FMIC might be worth it.
  16. what this exede thing?
  17. R33 skyline is electric - i.e. no fluid required. It has an elecric motor. Mine does that aswell. I am turfing it - It could be a sensor trouble - sothing wrong with the rack or it needs to be reset and aligned at time of wheel algnment. I am replacing mine with a bar. Geoff on here sells them for $150..
  18. 220rwkw with only those mods must be on a very freindly dyno or you have a moded ecu without you knowing. Satandard ecu wont seemuch over 150rwkw
  19. I found on a cold night I would get hesitation etc whenI fitted the R34 intercooler... Even on stock boost - It could be the ECU playing with the fuel and ignition timing. If you have a mate that cn lend you a powerfc wack it in and try it on the base map..
  20. zGee thats cheap for the gtek. Do you have to cut the bar etc? Is the Gtek one a bit too big? Is it 2.5" piping? Cheers
  21. Does anyone know a website I can post files at or movies without registering??? Nice camera phone pics!!!
  22. I have a few videos. Ill encode it as mpg or something and post some of the good ones or something. THanks Chris and others for organising... great day
  23. thanks chris. see you freaks there!!
  24. Can you have stuff in your boot? Good luck with your clutch Chris!!! Cheers
  25. Sounds good - maybe I will bring the video cam.. You still got me in the Chris? Cheers
