  1. I tried about 10 tanks of PULP and then used a few tanks of normal ULP and there was no noticable difference - bth to power and fuel economy. On average (combined cycle), I use about 10.5L/100km but on the highway, it can drop to 9.5L/100km
  2. I ended up getting my extractors for my R33 N/A from New Zealand. I couldn't find anyone in Australia sold them without doing a custom job (read : pricey). Cost me about $350 and have great long primaries.
  3. hehe - Sounds like the car dealer is using one of the oldest tricks in the book - the "You'd better hurry up because someone else is reeeeally interested" Don't let anyone rush you into it. By my reckoning, you should be able to get an R34 NA for the mid-high 20's. Never believe a car salesman...
  4. I agree on the owners manual - I thought it was minimal content for $50. hehe - I'm not denying that it doesn't happen on the web - just saying be careful...
  5. JPNZ has two manuals available. The Owners manual (which I have purchased) is your basic manual which would come with any new car - basic operation car, radio, lights, brakes, bits and pieces, location of jack blah blah blah. The other manual available is the Engine Service manual (500+ pages and just about enough info to remove and install an engine. BE WARNED - I have looked extensively into the legal side of this and any copying of any manual and distribution of it (even if it is a JPNZ manual from New Zealand) is completely ILLEGAL. The fines if caught with or distributing an illegal copy are just not worth it. I think that NZD$250 or AUD$225 for an engine manual as rare as the R33 is a bargain. This has been discussed before on the SDU/SAU forums and a thread has been closed by a moderator due to continued discussion of copying of manuals.
  6. At what point does the engine reach full oil pressure? Within a few seconds of startup? Or once the oil has warmed up?
  7. I've read a few discussions in the forums on how long people idle their car for (if any) before they drive off, but there's no discussion on WHY it's better to idle for a few minutes or just drive straight off... Now for the question : I was talking to a thermodynamics professor a while ago and he mentioned that while it is true that oil doesn't fully protect your engine until it is at operating temp, your car is better protected if you drive off straight away and get it up to temp as quick as possible (as long as you don't rev the engine too much); instead of idling for a few minutes to warm it up at the first start in the morning. Whether you have a turbo or not is irrelevant for this question. Comments?
  8. I have a pair of urethane bushes for the rear Sway bar of an R33. I bought them with the sway bar then reliased that the bushes already come with the bar. Potential upgrade for a stock bar perhaps, or clapped out old ones. Not sure how much they're worth exactly so $10 is fine with me. Email me ...
  9. I have a Axas Combat Power Shift Indicator which cost me $100 second hand. It's a great little inditcator and you don't have to stuff around with connections to coils etc etc. Just hook it up to your cig lighter and it takes alternator pulses and interprets those. Very accurate and easier to install than others I've seen.
  10. R33 GTS, RB25DE, extractors, 2.25" TRUST exhaust, K&N Pod, 150rwhp. Not bad I reckon for an NA. Still looks the goods though.
  11. One of my mates uses Toothpaste and he swears by it! Sounds wierd but I'm yet to give it go.
  12. It's the OWNERS manual, not the workshop manual. I think the WORKSHOP manual is something up around $400. There's no mention of Copyright in the entire manual either.
  13. There's been a little bit of interest for owners manual for the R33. To save people the $46 or whatever, I am prepared to scan the 150+ pages and save into PDF format for people to download. I want to get an expression of interest so I know I'm not wasting my time doing it. Who would be interested? -MearCat
