  1. I have a custom made air box that I made for my R33 but ended up selling the car before finishing the air box. It is made from fibreglass with average thickness of 2-3mm all round and is painted in primer. It has no lid but but has holes to fit the standard intercooler & vacuum hoses and and a duct for cold air underneath. As the pics show, it's designed to fit a K&N filter. $50 + shipping (approx $35 via Australia Post - cost is due to size) PM or email me for contact. Thanks!
  2. I'd have to see the interior of the M35 before I can make any judgement on what I think would suit the dash and where gauge pods could/would be fitted. Are you based in Perth?

In terms of getting a design going, I generally require around 8 interested parties to go ahead with a design to make it viable.

  3. Sneaky buggers. I didn't notice the EX-GST price on their website! PM sent.
  4. Is this still available? What colours are the LEDs? Oh and sorry to tell you but they are $160 brand new (http://www.ecliptech.com.au...
  5. For everybodys info, I went to Ace Industrial and prices are as follows : $55 for test $65 for Calibration $75 + parts if it needs fixing
  6. My dad gave me an old (15 yr old) Sidcrome torque wrench which he doesn't use any more and before I use it, I want to get it tested/calibrated. Can someone suggest a place in Perth (Prefer NOR) who can do it and what the approximate cost would be? -Alan
  7. Nope and Nope. I love it when people pass jusdgement when they haven't even seen the car in the flesh. I have sold the car now anyway and after a look over, test drive etc etc the guy was more than happy to pay $17K for it as it was in immaculate conditon to match the kms and I could provide backup of genuine kms (if he asked for it) I had never taken it to the track, used it only on the occasional weekend and took the drags ONCE in 3 years. Anyway, I'm not teh kind of guy to lie to people about kms or conditon of car, blah blah blah, whinge, whinge, think I'll go and eat worms. It's gone now and IMHO, the guy got a bargain.
  8. Or you can just go to my website (www.mearcat.com.au) and get details there - Under Electronic Kits section
  9. The fine "dust" is penolic microballoons. REEEALLY small & fine hollow glass balls that you add to the resin mixture snd makes sanding heaps easier once the resin has cured. I've never seen it in anything smaller than 1kg bags/boxes though which is quite a big bag because the stuff is very very light.
  10. Try using a high build primer and spray (liberally) a few coats on, wait for it to dry and then sand.
  11. Hi Martyn. Yeah I'm still trading and I did get your email, and replied on Monday this week. I'll resend it for you. I have the Stagea gauge pods in stock and have one 60mm predrilled pod for you ready to go. FYI - I'm based in Clarkson, Perth and it's MEARCAT, not Meercat but I get that a lot. -Alan
  12. These guys have been around for years and I have been sourcing all my fibreglass materials from the since I started my gauge pod business a few years ago. Their range of glassing and moulding materials is fantastic too. One day I sat down and worked out that Bunnings is between 3 and 4 times more expensicve than Kirkside.
  13. Here here funky! If you look back on the Top Gears in days gone (even say 3 years ago when Hammond wasn't on it), the show format was a bit boring in places and needed improving. The Oz version has been going for TWO weeks! I say they have done well enough and will certainly expect that they will fine tine the format and segments as time goes on just like Top Gear UK has done. Give it a chance you Idol-watching muppets!
  14. Was driving from Clarkson to Heathridge at 5pm today when I came across this scene on Connolly Dr in Currambine. Looks like something went seriously pop because the flames underneath were due to oil dripping on the ground behind the FMIC Fireys turned up a couple of minutes later but I'd hate to sit and watch my car go up in flames
  15. Cheers for the compliment on the pods FYI - I have recently decided that NONE of the Mearcat gauge pods will now come with the Mearcat logo stenciled on them and they will only be painted a close matching grey to the dash. Although advertising via a logo is always nice to have, I'd rather have them not stand out and achieve their goal as something more factory looking than the a-pillar mounts; as well as trying to keep within the same vision depth as the speedo etc.
  16. Daniel has managed to contact me now But just wanted to say that I'm still in business and going strong with my product range slowly increasing as well
  17. I've know a coupe of R33's which have been over the pits (in WA) with a Mearcat pod installed and was not an issue. Definitely not a defect in VIC. VicRoads documentation says you can have anything installed so it sits below the height of the steering wheel. Although with the proliferation of GPS units, it makes me wonder whether they get fined?

Either that, or custom billet (4340 or en25) ones made up. Any suggestions who can do the cut/spline or custom ones? -Alan
