  1. the RB20 is laggy because it is a low compression 2L six with tiny exhaust pulses.
  2. check out computer shops, many have heat shrink colour cable cover stuff. its like PVC or something, looks great too.
  3. i made 164rwkw on stock turbo about 11psi (stock boost, increased a bit because of exhaust) all i had to make it was exhaust, fuel pump, FMIC and a tune (EMS 8860 ECU)
  4. aparently they keep the specs of their hi-flows well guarded, so none of their competitors can copy.
  5. how much boost was it running? what is the shaft play like? does it come with the compressor outlet elbow? if so i am interested. pics please.
  6. also, 280s were all over the place, but as a general rule, manual had R200, auto had R180, but there are some exeptions.
  7. yes the long nose R200 diffs do fit in our early Zeds, but you might require some other parts to make it fit because i believe you would have an R180 diff as standard, not 100% sure tho.
  8. i have a similar question, i have an RB20, with full 3inch turbo back exhaust, FMIC, Fuel pump, ECU running on MAP sensor (no AFM). i have been offered a stainless steel mainfold and brand new ( he has receipt) T04E/T3 with .67 AR. how would this go on my motor? or should i just grab the mainfold and get a RB25 turbo too?
  9. i run an EMS 8860 on my RB20. It does well for fuel econ when cruising, an average of 9l per 100km at a guess. and it does drink a bit when i get up it tho. But on a stocko RB20DET with an exhaust and FMIC i am making 220rwhp on stock boost. i just upped the boost to about 13 - 14 psi and it still runs great. the whole lot runs of the TPS and MAP sensors, so no MAF for me.
  10. yeah i already know its a T3 flange, so all is good. might just have to get a new turbo any way tho, seeing as i will need mew oil and coolant lines anyway. see what the bank account says.
  11. the mainfold has the same bolt pattern as that gasket you posted, but it comes with 6 individual gaskets, and a turbo - manifold gasket.
  12. looks like the manifold i have must be from an rb 20/25 then, because it has the 2 front ports bolts one way and the other 4 are opposite.
  13. thanks for the fast replys i should not have any clearance issues as the motor is in a 280ZX, and it has a large engine bay. that would be great if you could compare the 2 for me mate. cheers
